The hell with waiting. There's plenty of decent ROM's for the Tab S over at XDA. I'm running 5.1.1 with pacman ROM and performance is 10 times better now on my 10.5. Marshmallow should be ready for it in the next couple weeks too. That touchwiz 5.0.2 ROM is just junk. You guys really should consider root and ROM.

I just ot a 300+ megabyte update OTA last night. It did not pop up with an alert. I just decided to try to pull an update and it was there! Still 5.0.2 but the new build is much smoother and snappier. I also no longer get error messages about the discontinued WatchOn widget. Keyboard is less laggy yoo. Only drawback is SideSync seems buggier and a little slower now since the update (yes, I actually use that feature regularly).

Thanks for the post! Downloading now...

Wish it was 5.1 , 5.1.1 or 6.0 😑 something's better than nothing though. Its funny how not even one website mentioned this update. It just shows that the tab S is being abandoned :/

Whoops, deleted my original post by mistake. Anyway, XDA has a little chatter about it but nowhere else. So far, i am definitely loving the improved performance but battery life is still less than it was under KK. A poster on XDA thinks this is a pre-Marshmallow bug fixer. Let's hope so!
