Any Nexus 4 owners check out the Blackberry Z10?

Thanks for your experiences. Good feedback on the search function. The Android search function is top notch and so easy to use. Any apps you want but could not use?

I'm not a big apps user, I use the browser a lot so I can't speak about the apps experience.

Guy in my church has a Z10. I was pretty surprised to see one because I didn't really think people would buy it. Anyway, from a distance I thought it was an iPhone 5, which could be a good and bad thing I suppose. On one hand, that screen is beautiful. The Z10 has a great looking screen and it felt nice in the hand. Guy told me he's never been a touchscreen fan coming over from his bold but he'll always stick with BlackBerry. Said he couldn't put the thing down, as evidenced by the fact that when I asked to hold it he looked at me like I just asked him to borrow his wife for a day.

It's a nice phone for the 2 minutes I got to use it. App selection will be the main concern for awhile.

Completely agree with everything (except this keyboard, i see the z10's keyboard as being better than swiftkey, although that may be preference since i never liked using it much).
Also love the Lockscreens, which launcher did you install on the z10?

I believe this has to do with the z10s gesture based UI, and fact that the extra space is touch sensitive...
Ideal? No but it does have a reason for being there

I used a Z10 for the past week, to certify it for use for our employees at work.

I'll echo most of what has already been said here. I *really* like the hardware. Solid device, one of the better feeling I've held in a while, love that it isn't too big. For all the knocks that RIM gets sometimes, they do have a history of some great hardware. the Bold 9900 remains my favorite piece of phone hardware ever (pity about the OS on it).

As it comes tot he software, BB10 is solid. There are some things that can be worked on, but it is solid. The messaging hub needs some work as it is very easy for it to get out of hand with 2 twitter accounts, 3 email accounts, Facebook, etc all attached, but I really like the idea. But overall I do like the operating system.

That being said, for anyone who is perfectly happy with the iOS, Android, or even Windows Phone platforms, there is absolutely zero reason to switch to BB10. I'll say say again, BB10 is pretty solid, and there is nothing really wrong with it, I just feel that there isn't anything it does remarkably better than iOS or Android to warrant switching ecosystems. IF you're not really invested in any of the major OS's, especially when it comes to apps, sure there may be a reason to switch, but I've been on Android for 3 years for my personal phone and Windows Phone for a year as my work phone, and I don't feel any want to switch.

I really like the OS, I dont have a Z10 and only played with one for a bit but I own a playbook which runs QNX and I love the OS. I think comparing BB10 to Android or even IOS is, I don't want to say not fair but BB10 is really early on in its life cycle, where as Android an IOS are far more developed. I think it would be more fair to compare it to WP8 which is also a new OS. Having owned a 920, and selling it after 5 months, I can say that I liked BB10 much more then WP8.

That being said, I'm done with buying 1st gen devices, I will be keeping my nexus 4 for a while and don't plan on switching to BB10 until some major updates have gone threw. Maybe 2.0 I will look into getting a Blackberry again.
