Hello. Just wondering if theres any no root tether apps (like 1 click tether) that work with the htc one on Verizon? I traded an iphone 4s for a galazy s3 last month mainly for this feature as I was able to cancel my time warner internet. When I was able to upgrade last weekend and retain unlimited data, I chose an htc one because of the discounts that I was able to apply (and could not on a gs4) among other things that make this look like a great phone.

My HTC one arrive wednesday and the case/protectors arrive today. Before I activate this phone, I want to make sure I will be able get a tethering app for any web surfing needs at home. 1 click tether has worked great on the gs3.

Thanks for any input

Dan

Foxfi works like a charm for me through wifi. I've never tried USB though.

This is what I get. Rebooting doesn't fix this message. Wonder why some works and some don't.

Still no go. I am installing PDANET and Foxfi. I'll try just Foxfi and see if that works.

I am able to use FoxFi on my non-rooted HTC One. It works pretty good, but does tend to drain the battery quickly.

have you purchased the full foxfi key? maybe download the foxfi add-on it works i took a few trys but i got it to work on mine. make sure you install the security credential add on

thanks for the input. Foxfi worked great. Decided to fatten up with a couple kit kats over the weekend and got enough play store credit for the full version as well. 1 click tether was not working for me.

pcabe I had the same mess happen yesterday with the warning message and I simply hit the back button (not Cancel) and it worked fine. If that fails try hitting the home button and you should get the same result.

I do have the full version/key. I also have the foxfi add-on loaded. Frustrating that mine doesn't work.

I tried both ways when I get the warning message and I get WiFi failed to start. Darn it.

Go-to settings apps find foxfi clear cache, also go to security and remove the installed credential

I cleared the cache, was only 12k that could be deleted. I cannot find any credential to be deleted.

The credential is what gives the app to run, when you install foxfi it asks for you to allow a security credential to be installed and it also asks that you setup a pass code this seems like the step your missing

Foxfi does not ask me for a credential to be installed. I have reloaded it three times and not once did it ask. I wonder why mine is not asking permission.
