Was wondering if anyone was curious enough and checked it out. What were your impressions.

It doesn't really compare. Note3 had a better screen. Also had features that take advantage of the bigger screen. Ip6+ doesn't.

My brother bought one so I got to play with it a bit. I don't know what I was expecting, but it left me underwhelmed. I realized it's really just a giant iPhone with the same boring icons and everything, there isn't anything special about it.

I checked out the IPhone 6 plus. The phone was narrower and thinner than the Note 3 and a lot easier to hold, although the back of the phone seemed too smooth and possibly slippery. The screen was very bright and surprisingly did as well in sunlight as the Note 3. The camera on the 6 plus just blew away the Note 3 even though it was only 8 megapixels. It focused super fast even when in low light and taking a macro. The colors were more vivid even comparing to the Note 3 in HD mode. It performed less well when zooming in, probably because it having only 8 megapixels. The optical image stabilization was so good that even with my intentionally shaking the camera, it took a sharp picture. I liked that the volume control served also as a shutter button. The user isn't offered a lot of different modes like with Samsung, but the IPhone camera seems to make correct adjustments without as much user intervention needed.

What I didn't like about the 6 plus was IOS. I hate that there is no consistent back button. I hate the boring same layout of icons on its homepages. They all look the same.

As a phone, I didn't get the chance to make any calls with the 6plus. I can't verify claims that Apple has improved call clarity unlike any other cell phone. If that could be substantiated, I may have to overlook IOS and consider the 6 plus along with the Note 4 in my short list of phones for my next upgrade.

Some video floating on YouTube seems to suggest a better camera on note 4.

Exactly how I felt when I looked at one in store.

The Note 3 can also use the volume buttons as a shutter button.
I don't think it's fair to compare a phone that's a year old to a brand new one. IMO, the only category the iPhone ever excelled over Android phones in the past 2-3 years was the camera. I think the Note 4 will give it a run for the money. The Note 4 now has 16MP which allows for cleaner photos when cropping, IOS as well, along with a snapdragon 805, which is supposed to improve picture quality as well, especially in low light.

I have a note 3 and my hubby is a iphone 6 user. He got it last week and was saying "it now does this and this...." my reply "my note already did that". He won't let me play on his new iPhone 6 now :D

To be honest, I used to be an iPhone fan. I did order the 6+ but once I was told I wouldn't get my phone until mid November, I had had enough of being in the shark tank. Along with the decline in aesthetics and beauty of the phone, I felt trapped and completely dissatisfied in not being in control of what I want my screens and icons to look like. So I canceled my 6+ order and made the leap over to android where I'm not forced to accept what the manufacturer feels I should have. Perhaps the iPhone should be named the ApplePhone because the user has very little room to customize their own phone making personal for the user which would justify the title "iPhone."

To me the 6+ is too thin & slippery. It feels like it wants to be dropped! It sure is pretty though!

I got to play with both at Best Buy today and there's no comparison. The new multitasking on the Note 4 is crazy good and the QHD is just stunning. Not that the 6+ isn't nice, but there's so little room for change/customization. I've had both iPhone's and Androids and currently have the Note 3. I, too, was underwhelmed with the 6 & 6+ compared to the Note 4. It's truly a thing of beauty. I can't wait til the 17th! :))
