Any Note 8 convertors here?

My friend at work made me a deal I could not refuse. Picked up her pixel 2 XL 128gb for $400.

I have note 8 and really love it. But now that I have both phones in my hands, it's a freaking struggle to decide which one to use.

I knew this was a bad idea to buy it, but crap, for $400, I couldn't say no

Note 8 convertors (or might I say traitors), you sticking around with pixel?

Also, any note 8 folks that used pixel for a while and went back to note 8?

im a hardcore note fan, had every note since the first one.

pixel 1 xl made me move away from the note 5
and the pixel 2 xl made me move away from the note 8

iPhone X ..pixel 2 xl and Samsung s8+ and I love them all 3 ....1 line is business other personal and 3rd got for free

Yeah I moved from the Note 8, no regrets.

Note 8 is a nice phone, but I prefer Google's UI, the Pixel is faster, better camera, unlimited photo/video storage and fastest updates/security updates seals it for me.

I'd go back to Samsung of they completely overhaul their Samsung Experience UI. Really not a fan of it. But their hardware is stellar. Really hope the Pixel 3 uses a Samsung AMOLED display.

So tough for me so far. It is just not practical to use both.

By the way, putting a case on pixel 2 xl makes it look like the screen sitting in a box. Don't like the looks of that.

Note 8 curve screen profile looks much better with the same spigen case on.

Both strong phones with positives on both ends. That's why it's hard.

We have one of each. I'm not really a Nexus/Pixel fan. I like the Sammy interface a lot more. Both are just as fast, both have good battery life. Whatever floats your boat, I guess.

Yeah just got a Pixel 2 XL, my Note 8 is on swappa right now for sale. Both are great, with Android P coming this year (I like ot play with the betas too) the Pixel makes more sense for me right now.

Just made the switch myself. Literally have had the pixel XL for a day and I really really REALLY like the speed, fluidity and form factor. Slightly easier to hold in the hand and the screen is nice and crisp. I like the natural colors of it, not that the Super Amoled displays are bad cause they are not.

Just knowing I’ll have the latest security updates, one of the best cameras on the market and clean user interface made me switch up. I’ve just grown tired of waiting and waiting and waiting on Samsung to update their flagships, and I had an unlocked US version.

So far, I’m really enjoying, and I got the google fabric case from BB for 10 bucks, had a discount to use that was expiring on Sunday, so y not

I agree with you, had the pixel 2xl for about 10 days and sent it back. I just missed the note 8 too much. I often spent most of my time trying to download apps to have the same features my note 8 came with so I just said to myself "if it ain't broke, don't fix it). And btw, yes: the pixel 2xl is a dust magnet around the seam between the case and the phone, I could never get used to how a case looked on the device. Other than that, I really enjoyed the lack of bloatware and seamlessness of a stock ui experience. This can easily be fixed on a Samsung device depending on how you set it up.

Been a note fan since the first one. I've owned notes from 1 to 8 including note 8 tablet and 10.1 Tried the 2XL to see the camera hype for myself. Man it's REAL! didn't know what I was missing. The photos are so detailed. I tried to go back to the note several times cause I really like the S-pen. But the image quality produced by my 2XL are superior IMO. Just wish there was something similar to S-note for the Pixel

Other than that, I really enjoyed the lack of bloatware and seamlessness of a stock ui experience. This can easily be fixed on a Samsung device depending on how you set it up.

Unfortunately what isn't easy to fix is Samsung's lengthy delays for security and Operating System updates.

I thought the note 8 was good but when you put the pictures side by side with pictures from the Pixel, that's when you'll see the difference.

Yeah, not that the now was bad but the pixel shots are just that much better.

Thanks for the feedback. Note camera is not a slouch either. Ya pixel 2 camera is a tad better but then Note 9 will be coming out in the next few months and will have an even better camera (word on the street is that s9+ is now the best smart phone camera).

So if I am leaving Note 8, there has to be something more. So freaking hard. My Saturday wasted going back and forth between the 2 phones cause both are GREAT.
