Any one else upset about release?

Ok, first of all the following is my opinion but I am curious:

Is anyone else pissed by this phone's release? It is a bigger screen version of the current Dinc with global. What was HTC thinking?!

They were working on the Sensation while working on this phone and this is the one they decided on Verizon?

The Sensation is WAY sexier, has 4G, could have been global, Gorilla Glass, qHD screen, AND Dual Core! Why would they decide to release ANOTHER 3G single-core processor phone on Verizon with less storage?

The release seems to be just a simple mid-range phone when there is an entire market of people waiting patiently on the release of a dual-core 4G verizon phone. Why?

I'm willing to sacrifice 4G and dual core for price (both the phone itself and no extra 4G charge), size, weight, and battery life, personally. And plus, this phone is supposed to be coming out next week. The Sensation doesn't come out until this summer.

(Although, yeah, I'd die for a qHD screen.)

Just because a small portion of the community wants dual core, doesn't mean the entire market wants it.

Well, the Sensation should be compared to the EVO 3D,Thunderbolt,and perhaps the Inspire 4G. All those devices are,for now, HTC's flagship phones for their respective providers. T-Mobile was the only major provider without one so now the Sensation completes the lineup.

I have the original incredible and I thunk this new version is going to be a very good device. I don't need 4g. This will be well received. I love my incredible.

Next week? WOW that was fast?

Is there enough of a difference between the Incredible 2 to get it over an original Incredible? I'm up for an upgrade, but really don't like playing $200 or more for a phone that quickly becomes outdated. What are everyone's thoughts about just going for a year old incredible?

The incredible 1 is a great phone but i would be wary of getting it on a 2 year contract now.

I was just hoping that the DINC2 was going to be released before 1 year contracts went away.

We are getting 4g LTE in my area within the next few months, but I was willing to sacrifice the LTE network for a year because I really like the fact that the DINC2 is a bit smaller and thinner than the TB.

But, since it's not looking like it will release in time for me to get a 1 year contract on it, I might end up heading to VZW later this week and picking up the TB or Charge, most likely the TB. Or I might just wait to see what else might be coming. I don't have a data plan right now so the longer I wait, the more money I save myself! :D I just need to upgrade before Aug 16th in order to get my upgrade discounts.

If your area won't get LTE in the next year or so, make your decision on TB vs. Dinc2 based on price, form factor, and need for global access. The speed (fast, even on 3G) will be the same on either phone. One more detail, battery life will (probably) be a little better on the Dinc2.

The Sensation does look like a pretty sweet phone. I really wish it was coming to Verizon. Even still, the Inc2 is a good phone for those not in the LTE area. The Sensation isnt scheduled to hit until the summer and by then the Revolution and bionic will be out along with a couple other dual core phones probably for verizon giving customers the option for a new high end phone.

It will be interesting to see what a dual-core's battery life is like in the wild. If it drops significantly, there will be some buyer's remorse down line.

I won't even consider 4g right now. There are issues with the devices and until it is smooth running, won't make the jump. I have no issues with 3g and coming from the Incredible, again, I can't speak highly enough.......it has been the best device I have ever used. EVER if anyone chooses the new Incredible 2 they will indeed like it.

I have pretty good battery life and amazing speeds with 4g tbolt. LTE in my area is awesome, not buggy. Anyway, i upgraded from the incredible which was also awesome, but with 4g speeds there is no looking back.

This is exactly the phone I've been looking for as an upgrade from my Incredible. With world phone capabilities I don't have to transfer to my Blackberry Storm while traveling. The 4 inch screen is a nice step between the Incredible and the Thunderbolt.

I live in a 4g area but do not see a need for it.

The bottom line is that it is a phone and hopefully will make and receive calls.

this phone does look nice. 4" is a nice number for most people, FFC is nice. but, if you are a state of the art kind of guy, this phone is DOA. i dont understand where it fits in the lineup or why VZW would be getting it. seems like a carrier would not want 50 phones to support. the Sensation is the ****!!!! it is what the TB should be. without a doubt.

Not into the 4.3 phones, at least for now.

For a while I looked at what phone I would upgrade to because I loved my Dinc so much. Nothing was making me commit. Finally, dinc2, boom!!
The only thing I ever wanted my current Incredible to have was a FFC and better battery.

Dinc2:
Bigger screen
Better battery life :)
Front facing camera
World Phone
Sense 2.0
Gingerbread

Am I leaving anything out?

That for me is worth it. I'll be paying whatever retail is for this.
