any one like the G4 here?

though I didn't like the too small fonts under icons, even in if I set fonts to max size nothing changed with the fonts in homepage and drawer, it's a little stupid when you have a 5.5'' screen.

Easily changed in Nova launcher.

I really like the G4 (great screen and camera) but I still use my G2 quite a bit due to significantly better battery life and Xposed. Mostly use G4 to watch movies and YouTube vids.

Yes, I LOVE my G4. It does everything I need it to do, including the kitchen sink.

My only complaint? The plastic trim. It's a nitpick, though.

Other than that, one of the top 3 best phones I've used, up there with the Galaxy S6/Note 4 and HTC One M8.

Note that some people will just bash on the G4 just because they feel like it. Some are legitimate issues, but despite those , it's still an excellent phone and most of us love it.

This year I have used OnePlus One, LG G3, HTC M9, Zenfone 2 (still have as my back up), Nexus 6, Moto G 2nd Gen, Galaxy S6 and LG G4. The LG G4 had been the best performer out if these phones in my opinion, I am very happy with it, so yes I really like the LG G4!

Picked up a G4 from MTN yesterday. Came with the black leather back plus an additional black plastic diamond patterned back, a " bumper" case and a SanDisk 32Gb SD card. LP 5.1 loaded as standard. Impressed so far.

I came from owning a Blackberry z10 which I still have , the great feature of that phone was the removable battery and SD card, I find these features very important, so when I was looking for my next phone it must have these features, I was leaning towards the Blackberry Passport, I do like BB10 however, no swappable battery,
The reason I wanted a swappable battery over time batteries ability to store or receive will diminish much like a laptop battery, when this happens to a mobile the current phones with build in batteries or batteries that cannot be replace will have to be sent out for service, which would be frustrating and costly,
So here comes the G4 with these features, plus another feature I wanted a top quality camera, this phone has all the features that I wanted and needed , that is why I am sold on this phone, and that is also why I feel it is the best smartphone on the current market today,
I give kudo's to LG for continuing with replaceable battery and sd card,
Great phone !!

I like mine. I bought one a month ago when they were released on Verizon, but returned it due to heat and battery issues.

I bought another one last weekend and have this one running "lean" so far with just my bare-essentials apps. Thus far, I'm doing better this time around. I haven't yet noticed it randomly being warm, and I am happier with the battery life. It could still be better, of course, but I have been making it through the day so far.

The charging speed, however, is extremely slow if the phone gets warm at all. I really want to see this temperature limit raised, so the phone keeps charging quickly even as it warms up some.

I sure hope LG actually needed to make full use of the space in the corners of the phone, as I think the corners are too sharp. They are noticeable in my pocket (using a Spigen Slim case), and will likely contribute to wear of the leather backs at the corners.

The camera seems very good, and I like the screen. Plus major reasons for buying were SD and removable battery. Mine has been quick and responsive, no lag issues that I've noticed. Don't miscontrue my other observations, I do like the phone. At the moment I am planning to keep this one.

I agree!
I tried the G4 in a store today, the UI is as fast as on my M9, though I didn't like the too small fonts under icons, even in if I set fonts to max size nothing changed with the fonts in homepage and drawer, it's a little stupid when you have a 5.5'' screen.

Yea, the fonts on the G4 drive me nuts, they need to be a bolder font to make them a little easier to read.

I do. Camera is awesome(I love photography), UI is smooth and fast, screen is beautiful and not over-saturated, removable battery and micro sd slot. I don't regret choosing this device one bit.

I Love my S6 Edge and think it is the best phone ever made, but that doesn't mean the G4 is a bad phone.
Pick the phone that makes YOU happy. The S6 Edge makes ME happy, couldn't care less if others don't like it as much as I do.
I made the right choice. S6 edge.

This guy has hit every bullseye on every dart board.

The best phone is one that fits YOUR usage pattern and one that YOU love using the most.

I love the G4, he loves the S6E. Everyone loves different phones.

I love the G4. Great battery life, great camera. SD card expansion, so you're never 100% tied to your storage option albeit 16/32/64. The removable battery is a great option, even though I don't use it. I prefer to carry around those battery packs, because I can not only charge my phone, but my tablet, my friend's phones, playstation vita, etc. But I do appreciate the removable battery because that means I can get rid of it and throw in a new one in 6-9 months from now.

The screen is gorgeous. It's a little dim with auto-brightness, but I hope they'll fix it. But that doesn't mean the screen is dim. The screen is REALLY bright and very well suited for outdoor visibility.

Camera? Awesome. Awesome camera.

Just check these pictures I took yesterday.

I think overall, this phone is a winner. Sure, battery COULD be larger. Front facing speakers COULD have been implemented. A larger camera sensor MIGHT have been able to be fit inside... Sure, if we're going to make a Franken-phone, of course we could always find ways to better the devices. I've played around with a lot of devices, and I must say, I'm very happy with my G4. :) No lag no miss-tap (I have the European model), no issues. The device also runs cool! My favorite feature :D haha.

I think the removable battery can be a big money saver...when the OEM battery stops taking a charge, usually in a couple years or less, the expense and hassle of sending it in and being without a phone is usually enough to make people simply upgrade their phones...might as well really spend some real money and get the latest tech, right? With a low cost swap, you may decide spending big on a new phone isn't worth what the new models offer, and get more usage out of the G4. Or, if you need to reboot by removing the battery, or if the battery goes south early...all reasons the swappable battery is a good thing.

Nice pictures! Auto mode, straight from the camera?

Straight from camera, yes. But in manual mode. I was learning how to use manual mode on a DSLR and my phone. My phone produced some gorgeous pictures. But I am waiting for the teacher to send me the pictures from the DSLR to compare quality. I know the camera will be better, but if this little guy can hold it's own for Just normal pics, which I think it can, then I'll be super happy.

I am waiting for the price to go down, that Root hits US models so we get custom roms (G4 here are EMEA models rootable but no custom roms) and that the touchscreen issue is definitely fixed to finally swap M9 to G4.
Went again to LG showroom yesterday, I liked the ''gold'' plastic back as it has a much more silver look than the grey one, though I am afraid that paint will go away with time and black plastic appears. The screen is really gorgeous, 5.5'' bright and good colors, the double tap to wake was perfect, no missed touch. The UI is certainly faster than the S6 I had, nearly as fast as my M9 which is the fastest UI phone ever.
Of course the fonts are stupidly small for such a big screen, smaller than on my 5'' M9 screen!
The speaker is very loud while no crackling unlike Note 4, it's louder than S6 and M9.
Unfortunately they don't sell the leather or plastic back alone (for now), personally I would take the Gold (silver) color as I tried it with a sticky pad from my car and it sticked well, while the leather not at all

I had the S6 first, for those who still have it I truly hope Samdung and or the carrier people are using has worked the bugs out of the pathetic thing.
On the 8th day of ownership I return the S6 I had madder than a wet cat at the east it did NOT work. In it's place I got the LG-G4 and have not looked back.
I don't care if the bugs have been worked out of the S6 although friends tell me they have not. I never did like the glass front and back, the terrible battery life, not being ale to replace the battery and no micro sd placement. All of which my G4 have including great battery life and newly added wireless charging.
No regrets here.

The batteries can go south early then expected, if you factor in most user's sign up for a 2 year contract, if that phone battery starts acting up and needs replacing, majority phone manufactures just offer one year warranty,
Another great feature is having that extra spare battery, it comes in handy, when you are on holidays, but the G4 does have fast charge also,

It's one of those human nature's that is a bad one. People always have to one up, talk down, look better than someone else, judge and take selfie so everyone can see thier face on every post. Why? Because society teaches us this. My motto is to stay humble, kind and forgiving. Why? Because people can really SUCK!.... P.S, I'm loving this G4! Nothing is perfect!
