Although Tmobile's band 2 lte isn't deployed yet, anyone planning ahead to later this year and buying the AT&T M8 instead for band 2 lte support?

I understand it will work for LTE but the AT&T version will not work in refarmed areas. It doesn't have the 1700 band for 4G (H+). Instead of getting 4G it will get 2G. Areas that are not refarmed need both 1700 and 2100 bands to work together.

You are 99% correct. It is missing Band 4 for HSPA+ which encompasses 1700mhz for uplink and 2100 for downlink. You don't need to see separate 1700/2100 bands in the phone specs because AWS Band 4 includes both. 2100mhz on its own is a European band. And I think you meant to say it will work in refarmed areas that use 1900 PCS for HSPA but non refarmed areas it will not work because those areas use AWS for HSPA.

Correct, I did mean to say it WILL work in refarmed areas. I didn't realize AWS Band 4 is the same as 1700/2100. Thanks for that info.
