Any Thunderbolters Upgrading to the Note 2?

as a currently relatively happy thunderbolt owner, i am considering a note 2 and dna. though, i can't count out the s3 or razr hd, or even a preowned galaxy nexus off ebay yet. i really dont know what i want to get. i am giving myself until christmas time to figure it out.

i guess i could stick with the thunderbolt, but i am just bored with it. i could root it, but i always was and am scared i will brick it. i think i could get $80-100 on ebay for it, so i dont want to screw up the phone and lose any potential income.

any suggestions on what i should get and why?

I fully suggest rooting it especially if you want to refresh your Thunderbolt experience. With each ROM you try it will feel like a new phone. Check out Thundershed which is what I'm currently running and I feel like the phone is blazing fast now.

I started with the Thunderbolt day 1. Bought the Razr Max day 1. Recently sold the thunderbolt to verizon for 45 dollars. Now I ordered the Note 2 full price
to keep unlimited data. Plan to sell the Razr Max to verizon for 115 dollars. Couldn't take the thunderbolt battery after 10 months. Was happy with the Max,
was part of the soak test for ICS, but lately the web stops dead in the middle of surfing. Soo, I took the plunge. While searching Amazon for a case, I found an extra battery for 7.99, a 6200 mA extended with back cover for 14.99, and screen protecters (3) for 3.99. Plus 9 dollars shipping. I took a chance. 30.91 dollars shipped.

I also had the Verizon Thunderbolt on day 1. Was great for about a year, then went downhill for various reasons. Verizon was nice enough to give me the Razr Maxx as a replacement. I'm now considering getting the Samsung Note 2.

With everyone getting tons of replacement phones where do you get this warranty? Or is it a Verizon warranty or the asurion deal? I had the asuriom but it just isn't worth the expense to me.

I had no warranty whatsoever, and I'm sure I was out of whatever warranty that originally came with the Thunderbolt. I just one day got completely fed up, an ended up speaking to a Verizon Level 1 support rep, who then referred me to a Level 2 rep, who then let me have the Razr Maxx as a replacement.

I was a launch day Bolter, who bolted away from that phone long ago and never looked back. Too bad though, I did like HTC hardware but Verizon (and all US carriers) have far too much control over the OEM's on what they put into these phones and that one was a turd.
