Any tips for a WebOS user trying out the Shift?

I am an original Palm Pre user that's finally jumped ship for greener pastures. I did like WebOS but I love how fast the Evo Shift is.

I do have one question: I was able to to switch my Palm Pre to Roam Only mode, which is almost a must if I want to talk on the phone in my house due to Sprint's signal being weak in my neighborhood. I've only found an option to use Sprint Only network or Automatic.

Has anybody found a way to put the phone in Roam Only mode? This is a huge sale for me!

Thanks,

Dex

I am in the same boat as everyone else in this thread (Palm -> Evo Shift) and I am very glad I found it. Thanks everyone for links.

I'm also coming from WebOS ... One thing you need to do is to let go. Clear your mind completely and concentrate on your new phone.

Until you can do that.... you'll never be comfortable with any other device.

Good luck.

Mine and my wires pres died this week and had no choice but to burn our upgrades. We both got the shift and have mixed feelings as well. Things we miss the most are swipe to go back, (seemed more graceful than back button) swipe to delete email and messages, and the multitasking. We are trying to keep an open mind and it is only day three but I miss my pre.

I too miss a few WebOS functions. The multi-tasking was the best. Allowed you to jump back and forth between programs. There are a few apps for android that attempt to replicate that experience, and come close.

I use "Perfect Task Switcher" myself, seems to work the best for my needs.
