Any way to change the "Data Usage Cycle" date range in Settings?

I'm running Lollipop 5.0.2 on the Moto G. Got it to finally work after holding the signal icon for the service provider (e.g. O2) and waiting it to open up in settings. From there, I switched on the data usage and then when pressing the button with the predefined dates, a drop down appears with the option for changing the cycle. Hope this helps, and slightly annoyed at the bug :L

I have a option for changing the data cycle but When I change the date of data cycle in android kit kat then its automatically turns back into the old position, what's the problem with data cycle.

I use TouchWiz (Samsung S6) and i am able to change the cycle date. Remember it is only for Mobile Usage. You do not get to change the cycle date for Wifi Usage.

If Cycle date is not showing. Close the Data Usage App and close all open app (Just in case) , go back to Data Usage App and this time under the drop-down menu you should see it.

There must be some bug in the app. I believe this happens when you toggle between Mobile Usage and Wifi Usage tabs.

I bet you have 2 sim card in your phone with only 1 data mobile enable, you must temporary enable data mobile for both sim card, then select data cyle with the same date on sim 1 and sim 2. It should be work, then you can choose data mobile on sim 1 or sim 2, sorry for my bad english

Accessing the data cycle change option is no problem on S4 with Android 5.0.1 and TouchWiz. But I am not interested in a monthly cycle, which is the only option. I am on a weekly cycle with EE and that's what I want to set.

My suggestion to developers is that they add this flexibility to the next version.

I had this problem, not sure exactly which step solved the problem, but I turned data on, turned my screen to landscape, clicked data usage data cycle, then then could scroll down on the drop down to the bottom were it gave me the option to change data cycle

Thanks Daniel Garrett, this worked for me!

That's a lame thing, Android! Worth fixing

That was the perfect answer.

WiFi off, mobile data turned on. I knew that's how to do it, but it took me through the check list to figure out how to do it on my son's phone.

Galaxy S7:
Turn wifi OFF
Turn Mobile Data ON
Click SETTINGS - COG icon at top of options screen
Select DATA USAGE
Click on down arrow to right of existing date range
At the bottom of the menu list, click CHANGE CYCLE
Choose the date your billing cycle begins on
Click SET

NOTES: CHANGE CYCLE may not appear if wifi is on. If it does not appear, close Data Usage, shut off wifi and repeat the above steps.
