Any way to disable RCS (Advanced Messaging)?

On T-Mobile's V20, is there a way to disable RCS (Advanced Messaging) without turning off VoLTE? I don't see a 'switch' like I used to on my previous TMo phones

Problem with that is that 'chat' messages coming through from other TMo users can only be displayed in the stock messaging app, so using apps like Textra is not possible for those threads.

So far the only way I can get those to come through SMS/MMS is if I disable VoLTE, but as you can imagine, that's one feature I'd like to keep hehe.

Any ideas?

You inquired about disabling it but I would like to know how to get it to work?
My girlfriend has an S7 with t mobile and sends me small video clips of very good quality through text but I can't do the same. Are there other settings I should be looking at in the camera options?
