Any way to fix home screen lag?

I had the same issue but only in the first week I got the phone. It helped when I removed the live wallpaper, then when I got the lag I turned the phone on and off and the problem was gone. I had to do this a few days, and now the problem seems all gone. It is weird though and the lag was annoying me a lot.

@smzrm-galaxy, wont that just prevent multitasking mate.
you can limit background processes but doubt it would fix lag.

Try this, Go to:
1. Settings
2. Developer Option
3. Do not keep Activities (if it is checked, unchecked it)
4. Press the home button and it will resolve the home screen lag issues.

Also, turn off all transitions under developer options. Makes a big difference.

I was messin around with the option in the Settings->Developer Options section and what worked immediately was placing a check in the "Allow Mock Locations" box. After that no more lag.

If you maybe activate "Don't keep activities" at "Settings / Developer Options" thinking that It would speed up your phone, man I got to tell you that this is possibly the core of your problems, this happen because the phone kills every activity at the right moment you leave it, so if you go back to the activity, the phone needs to start the process all over again :-\ . Just uncheck the option and you phone backs to normal.
