Very simply, AppMgr Pro III doesn't offer the option to move apps to the external SD card on jellybean on Bionic, and it looks like all the complaints in the Google Play (for many phones), are all being met with this response...

FAQ - "I cannot find the "Move to xxx" button from application detailed information window."

Moving app to SD is handled by Android. App 2 SD app only provides an UI for you to manage it. Currently, Android only supports the primary external storage for App 2 SD. If the device does not have a real primary external storage or the primary external storage is emulated from the internal phone storage. Moving app to SD function will not be supported by Android system. It's the limitation of hardware. Please get more information from device manufacture.

This is configured by manufacture. Nothing developers can do about this.

So it looks like they are slowly becoming a non-functional app, and are content to let the product die.

Are there any alternatives available that work on a Bionic with JB?

As explained in the faq it's not the developers fault. They only provide an app that makes it easier than going I to your applications and moving them one by one. To enable moving apps to sd on 4.0 and higher, you need to be root. As Google had decided to obsolete sdcards (for extremely good reasons) with a minimum 32gbs internal storage. Although the manufacturers are not playing along. If you don't have enough room on your device blame your manufacturer, not the developer.
