Anybody actually seeing chat features work on Verizon?

Dusted off my S9+ to see how the RCS (chat) works between devices. Activated chat features on two S9+'s I have on Verizon toggled all the boxes and it doesn't work at all. Still get compressed trash looking videos and see no read or typing indicators at all.

Ah ok. And where is that chat settings menu?

The settings look correct. When you click on contacts in the messages app, do you see a little blue dot next to the contact that you are trying to chat with? That blue dot denotes chat enabled.

When I first set our family's phones up, it took several hours before chat started working.
