Anybody deciding between a pixel 4 and note 10?

$600 for the 3 XL made the note 10+ an absolute bargain. Note 10 plus IMO is the best android phone, hands down. But of course any true Android enthusiast will always be drawn to the the Pixel. I'm doing my best to hold off, but I'll likely be getting one at some point.

Guess their computer was wrong too on what to do.

Seems that more people than me has had the problem with Wifi calling on verizon with the 3xl
I agree with Mike. The rep was misinformed or had no idea why they were doing. WiFi calling unquestionably works with the 3 XL on Verizon. I use it every single day at my house and office. Just took this screenshot... currently connected to Verizon WiFi calling on my 3 XL. Screenshot_20191016-190910.jpeg

Would you add the Pixel 4 XL to your "collection", or trade the Note 10+ in on the Pixel 4 XL?

I'm adding it to my collection and selling my Pixel 3 XL. I usually keep a back up just in case I get bored and wanna play with the other one LOL

That's a difficult one... Hardware wise there is nothing to think about. Note10 is simple light years ahead in every possible sense. But when I consider software, things goes in opposite direction: Pixel's stock Android is king. Note10 has much more features, like S pen and Dex. Pixel receives updates in the same day, and is much more Future-Proof considering these updates. I won't buy a Pixel 4 because I already have a Note10+ and an iPhone X. But if I had to make a choice, I would be in real trouble.

Original resolution media backup was one of the key things that kept me loyal to the Pixels, always there to tip the balance their way. With the loss of that perk, I'm looking at the Note 10+, especially given that Samsung is far more generous in what they offer for the Pixel 3XL in trade (and I have a hunch even Google will offer more next year in trade for the Note 10+ than the Pixel 4 XL towards the 5 XL).

Just not sure how much regret if have going away from the clean, easy software design of the Pixels' OS and with the slight drop in camera efficacy. But the battery life, screen, and resale are huge draws.

Now just to wait a few weeks for real Pixel reviews and black Friday deals on either...

Right with you - have a Note 10+ and a Pixel 4 coming next week - trading Pixel 3 in on Note 10+. Life is good in phone addiction land -

Yep. That unlimited backup loss is no good.

Man !
Talking about backup.
The SD card sure makes it nice to have a backup of pictures and stuff.

And google sync my phone with my computer for data.

Yes, I'm super excited about the Pixel 4 and the camera.

I plan on taking pics of the 4 with the 10+ and vice versa - it's the little things that are important - ;)
Could you make the 4 take a picture of the 10 taking a picture of the 4 taking a picture of the 10 taking.....

You bought another one?

Yes. "upon further review" the connection issue I had with the other one was the result of my swapping between phones. Seems Google Fi only allows this to be done so many times within a certain time frame. The 10 used a Fi sim and the P3 used the eSIM.

It seems I could swap the sim from 10 to P3 OK, but going back and forth between the sim and the eSIM caused the issue - I am not 100% sure about this.

I have a new Fi sim to use in the 10 for set up when it arrives. I can then put the sim in the P4 when it arrives - OR - I may add a line to my Fi account and set each phone up on its own line.

Several options available - gaining knowledge while messing with phones -

EDIT - may try cutting opening in cases to allow easier sim swapping 🤔
