Anybody else have zero interest in a 4.5" device

I agree, 4" really is the sweet spot, but because the evo had such success everyone seems to think that bigger = more sales. I wouldn't mind a larger screen with no buttons (like the nexus prime is supposed to be)
on the other hand, my freind has a inspire from AT&T and i like how it feels in the hand, even though i prefer a smaller screen it really depends how the whole device feels.

Bigger may equal more sales but its not all that for the consumer. I am more than happy with a 4" phone. I think even 4.3 is fine but anything bigger and its just a tablet not really a phone.

I've had a couple 4.3" screens and just got a 4.5" screen which is a bit to big for me right now. Just need to get used to it I guess

I have the Samsung SkyRocket and the size is not bad at all. In fact it is about right for me. I am looking forward to the Galaxy 3.

how about asus padfone? it's 4.3 by default, nice to hold in hands, good size for day to day use. and when you need a bigger display, you have the big boy at 10.1" :)

Necro. Last post almost 3 years old. A lot has changed since then.

Note 4
Nice find! I had just upgraded from an HTC Hero to the Nexus S at the beginning of this thread. The jump in size from that generation to the next was even larger

I lost interest in small screens long ago, my work phone is the crappy 4S 3.5" screen until they upgrade me in the spring, maybe a 5S or 6 if I am lucky but for me personally I can't be very productive with such a small screen.

I'm a few days away from going from the first gen Moto X to the new Moto X Pure Edition. This will be interesting.

Crazy how things have changed from the beginning of this thread until now. Now 4.5in is considered small.

And 5 - 5.2 is considered the sweet spot.

I'd love it if they made a note version around the 5" screen size. Eg, a Samsung s6 with the spen and I bet that would sell big time.

In fact Samsung should make all "galaxy" high end phones with a pen. Then leave the note line the same but with a 5.7+ screen size.

Re: Anybody else have zero interest in a 4.5" device

Sony Xperia Z5 Compact FTW. The only sub-5" premium phone remaining. There literally is nothing else. What a tragedy.

I agree there needs to be premium phones in the 4.7 to 5 inch range. Not everyone wants a phablet and if that's all you offer, sure they will sell but it's not what all want. Course maybe that is why Apple sales boomed. But Apple's sales say something all OEM's should pay attention to and that is the iPhone 6 outsells the iPhone 6 Plus by approximately 5 to 1. So a smaller premium phone is needed.

Nexus 5 was a great size.

I like more real estate on my screen so my Note 3 is great. I still have my Thunderbolt. When I pick it up now (not active) I think my god...how did I ever manage with that small of a scren.
