Anybody else having weird redraw issues?

Every once in a while my phone will have to "redraw" all the icon and Widgets and icons on my homescreens, which is annoying, but not a dealbreaker since it takes like a fraction of a second to redraw.

Earlier today though my screen got "stuck" like this and wouldn't redraw it. I could slide between homescreens and open/close the app drawer, but it still wouldn't redraw everything. I ended up rebooting my phone. Anyone else having a similar issue?

I haven't had it happen

How often does it happen ?

Can you reproduce the issue to make it hapen or is it completely random?

There is a fix for it.
Go into Nova settings, long press volume down. That opens up labs, go into labs, uncheck preload widget layout.

Cool. I didn't know that. I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

I was just about to ask this. It's a know issue with the latest version of Nova Launcher.

I'm using Nova Prime Launcher and havent heard of this issue

There is a fix for it.
Go into Nova settings, long press volume down. That opens up labs, go into labs, uncheck preload widget layout.

I still applied that fix tho

I'm using the stock launcher. I can't seem to replicate it. Just happens randomly. Haven't had another "redraw of death" since my screenshot though. Weird.

I have noticed a redraw that sometimes happens when I turn the phone on. The home screen displays, but wifi is not fully connected, a few more seconds and the screen redraws, then wifi is connected and usually I get incoming breaking news from some of my news apps. Startup is the only time a have a redraw and even then it doesn't always happen. I figure it is being triggered because the system even though it is displaying the home screen, isn't really fully initialized yet. After startup - no redraws so I am not concerned.

I've been seeing the same issue with AOKP build 38 running the latest Nova Prime. After applying the fix earlier today, haven't seen it happen again.
