A few days ago on Android Central it was announced that there was some kind of OTA now being released. Suppose to be a update to the ICS OTA update that was released a few weeks ago. Anybody get it?

It was not an OTA release, it was later determined that the 4.3.605.1 was just a soak test, only a handful of people got it and no one else will get it.

There is a 4.3.605.2 RUU release available on Android Police, it has to be flashed manually though.

Thanks for the update. Never done one of those. Is it hard to do and can you do it on a stock phone?
Super simple and MUST be done on a stock phone, if it has been unlocked or S-OFF it won't work. It doesn't even void your warranty because it is from HTC.

[Exclusive Download] Full RUU Build 4.03.605.2 For The HTC Rezound

My only recommendation from their instructions are to do the flash part twice, do it the first time, let the phone boot all the way and get to the setup screen but don't set it up... then power off and go through the POWER+VOL DOWN procedure a second time, this isn't necessary all the time, but better safe then sorry.

The only downside to flashing an RUU is that if Verizon does not use this version as it's official release, you MIGHT not be able to get an OTA update and will have to flash the RUU at that time as well if you wish to get future updates.

This procedure will wipe your all data on your phone, just so you are aware.

I can confirm that battery life is better but I had good battery life before. Maps issue is fixed.Phone does not get hot, I didn't have drops before and none still and Global is in it. It is also snappier.

You can get the update to. 12 on android police. That can be flashed over your current firmware.

Yes, we will eventually... Probably mid to late September, but if you want to get it now you have to download it from Android Police and flash it yourself.

So what are the details on the global setting? Will it now, or possibly in the future, be able to use an AT&T or t mobile sim? With full SMS, mms and data?

Not completely true. You can flash an RUU if you're S-OFF, you just can't if your phone is unlocked. I'm S-OFF and it worked just fine! ;)

Anyone have a better link to download this at? All of the other sites were removed or take like 6 hours to download then fail.

It took an hour for me. It's a big file. Set it to download at overnight or something so you don't have to wait. Too much space or I'd put it on my dropbox for a while.

Android Police has two forms of the update. The .12 update that you can flash over your current firmware and then the RUU which will wipe your phone. There is also a Rooted version of the .2 update on Mobile-Overload. I did the .12 update, rooted and then tried to flash a battery percent Mod that was made for GB that bricked my phone. I then flashed the rooted version from Mobile-Overload that Wildstang83 made. Just stock .2 but rooted. Smooth and snappy.

Really? I just downloaded it again from the link on Android Police labeled AP Mirror #1 that is hosted on beta.androidfilehost.com and it took about 3 minutes.

The .2 RUU is by far the best release out there...

Solve all major issues for me....

Google Maps works fine...
Skype now no longer transmit a green tinted image...
Battery stays cool and gives better life...
Facebook Authorize Fail issue seems resolved...

These are just a few of the things it corrects..

If you get this update will it prevent you from getting future OTA updates???

It depends....

If Version releases this exact .2 OTA then you will get further updates....

If they release something else (.3, .4, etc.) then no... You will have to get the RUU of that release number to get back in sync with the Verizon servers.

Updated seems stable, Facebook is crashing left and right. Not sure if it's ics or Facebook
