Anybody getting playback stutters or pauses?

I am not sure whether it is the player or possibly the cable, but with the Nexus player I occasionally will get a pause or stutter in the playback of various types of media. when I test the same media with the chromecast, there is no problem. Anyone else?

I don't have my Nexus Player yet, but someone who does may be able to help you. What app(s) are you using... YouTube, Netflix, Hulu and etc?
 
Hello I just got the Nexus player Friday and I get the same issues mostly on Netflix it got really bad yesterday where it would black out multiple times then I get a "Snow" screen and then "No Signal" on the screen I had to pull the power and reboot a few times.
Also does yours actually go to sleep? Mine just always stays on.
 
I have the nexus player on Wifi AC and it smokes, not one stutter on YouTube or anything for that matter.
 
I haven`t used Netflix so can`t say on its issues, but I noticed my player does not go into sleep mode either. I changed the time down to 30 minutes and it still doesn`t shut down.
 
Haven't notice any "hitching" in the audio tonite when watching Netflix. Perhaps repositioning my Nexus Player and loading the latest firmware on my ASUS RT-N66W 5G wireless solved this problem. Was getting the jarring pause in audio a couple of days ago at unpredictable times but it was happening way too often for my comfort. It seemed to happen at the peak of audio activity and when I least expect it.

So this is funny that this was posted here because I am having this problem in the Netflix app for windows 8. It doesn't do it all the time. I assumed it had something to do with the computer but now I'm pretty sure its something that went wrong on Netflix's end. I'll see if it happens when I get my nexus player tomorrow.

I was experiencing the same problem with Google Play which lead me to believe it was not a Netflix specific problem.
 
I also get video stutter on my Nexus Player. This happens with YouTube, Haystack and HGTV. Netflix works perfectly though. I have not tried other apps.
 
I haven't experienced any stuttering, by going to sleep is hit or miss,sometimes it does...sometimes it doesn't

What is odd is that very soon after I posted this, I got no more stutters. I wonder whether those who reviewed this initially and pointed out that performance issue just didn't try it out long enough.
 
I too was having issues with stutter. Netflix would stutter some but casting HBO GO was worse.... Hopefully gets fixed soon. Was bad enough to hookup the chromecast for backup.

Switching mine to 2.4G band from 5G seems to have resolved my stuttering issue. Still not sure who(router, nexus player) the culprit is or why.

NVM... Still getting stutter when casting. Casting HBO GO is a no go... Seems casting anything seems to be an issue regardless of WiFi bands. Thinking the googlecast app needs a update.

Netflix, Play Movies and YouTube apps seem to do fine on the nexus player. AOL On.... Not so much.
