Anybody send in their Nexus 7 to Asus for warranty repair?

I'm sending in my Nexus 7 (2013) for warranty repair for touchscreen issues. It's sporadic; sometimes it works fine, then other times it touch typing is erratic and drives me crazy. Certain specific apps seem to emphasize the touchscreen problem more, like Pivvot and possibly SwiftKey. I just had a few questions before I sent mine in.

Has anyone sent in their tablet for repair? Did you format your device before sending it in? How long does it take? Did they fix your tablet, or send you a new/refurbished one?

Asus is a bunch of a holes , sent my tab in for warranty charging issues , get a email stating it would be over 500. To fix that's Wright . When I called I asked why so much well my nexxus suddenly had screen issues bat issues and charging issues, then asked why am I being charged for the repair it's under warenty! Well I guess if you tablet has a deep scratch on the plastic it voids your warranty. I told them I would do it myself and to send it back ,when it arrives I decided to open it and what do yeah know ! The clips that hold the cables in are broken not just one all!!! Never will I buy something from them again
