Anyone able to mirror to Samsung Smart TV?

My wife & I currently have S7's with a smart Samsung TV. One of the nice features is being able to mirror to the TV without having to use a Chromecast/Nexus Player/Roku.

I'm hoping the mirror-functionality is something like a mira-cast industry standard.

With that, if you have an LG V30, are you able to mirror to a Samsung Tv WITHOUT the use of a third party product like those I mentioned earlier?

Don't have a V30 but I do have a V20 and a Samsung 4K TV and I mirror to it. Its called 'Screen Sharing' located in the drop down screen of my device.

I can confirm you can screen share on a 6 Series Samsung TV. I have done it on my TV, works perfect.
