Anyone actually tried the Mugen ext battery that fits stock case?

Re: Anyone actually tried the Mugen ext battery that fits stock c

Buying anything other than OEM batteries is always a gamble. But still, I'd like to see how well it performs in real life usage.

If the ship date wasn't two weeks from now I'd try it.

Re: Anyone actually tried the Mugen ext battery that fits stock c

I haven't ordered the Mugen yet for the Rezound, Just got it yesterday. But I did buy one on EBay from Mugen for my last phone. Mugen batteries are the real deal. Last one went from 1450 mah OEM to a 1800 mah Mugen. It made a noticeable difference. Mugen battery just looked better, fit better, looked more like OEM than the original OEM. I had good service. Actual results will vary!!

I just ordered one from Ebay yesterday, so I will let you know but I am also running Juice Defender.

Have you got it yet? Did it work? Is it really 1800 mAh?

I can tell you I get better life out of it. What would you suggest to test the mAh?

I am interested in this as well. I went from a t-bolt with the 3700mah extended to the rezound. I want more battery life but it is hard to get much. I don't have wi-fi turned on or blue tooth. SCreen brightness on 2.

I am even thinking/researching rooting my phone to see if that helps with battery life.

Just an FYI...Rooting itself will not do anything for the battery. It's what you can do (change roms/kernels etc) that can improve your battery life. Or apps like Set CPU can help tweak some settings available after you root.

There is no holy grail to better battery life. When the Rezound is fully wide open (s-off achieved) I suspect some great roms to come out for it. On my Dinc, I used a senseless Rom that could get me 2 full days with light use, and a full day (15 hours +) with it....before the battery started to kick the bucket. Too bad the Developer doesn't rock a Rezound (he got a Nexus Galaxy).

Re: Anyone actually tried the Mugen ext battery that fits stock c

I've had one of these for about three weeks now and it works as I had hoped. There are so many variables as to what effects battery life that absolute numbers are relatively meaningless unless everyone runs a standard controlled benchmark test. I was hoping for 15 to 20 percent increase in battery life based on the advertised increase in battery capacity and that is exactly what I got.

So whatever life you are getting now you should get 15 to 20 percent better with the Mugen battery.

Side note:

I ordered 2 batteries direct from mugen with the free air mail shipping option and 15 days later the package arrived. The only problem was their was only one battery in the package. An email to mugen support got a quick reply and a promise to ship out the second battery that day. Fifteen days later the second battery arrived.
