I just got QC 3.0 chargers for my home and car, as well as a "Benson Leung approved" USB A to C cable.

I left my G5 plugged into my wall charger with the stock LG cable. I left it around 32% and came back around 85%. The phone was super hot! This thing barely even gets warm using LG's stock QC 2 charger. I thought QC 3 was all about efficiency?!

Car charger got my phone warm too, but I had the AC blowing and it was a short trip. (FWIW, my car charger charged it at about 1%/minute)

I didn't see a need to replace all of my QC2.0 accessories from my G4, but I am watching the reports of 3,0 closely.

I'd imagine that if I had to replace any accessories, I'd make the jump.

Well, I got my phone through ATT Next, all I got was a single wall charger. I needed a bedroom charger and a car charger now that this is my first USB C device. :/

Fwiw, I used that QC 3 charger this morning and it didn't heat up nearly as much. Need some more time to see what's going on.

I only have Ampere to read charges. I might get a USB monitoring device. Dunno.

I have the 3.0 QC setup, and it does get very hot, but charges VERY fast. Really happy with it. My phone also gets very hot while just surfing a few webpages, so its just quirk of the phone I guess. Its always getting hot.

My mistake, my car charger is 2.0, forgot I bought that just before I decided to get a new phone. house charger is def 3.0 though.

My phone doesn't really get that hot from normal use or using the LG charger, so it really threw me off.

Both my old Nokia Lumia's got way hotter than this phone. Lol.

Fwiw, the LG wall charger provides ~16 watts. I just got a DROK USB monitoring device. My QC 2.0 certified 5ive car charger (usb a to C) provides the same wattage. A Samsung (Note 4 accessory) fast charging wall plug also gives 15-16 watts to the G5.

Havent tested my tronsmart QC 3.0 wall charger yet.

I seem to get between 10-18 watts with my Tronsmart 3.0 wall charger. Constantly fluctuating.

I've notice all QC's drop down to 5.5 watts while the screen is on.

The device see!s like it gets hotter than normal when it's getting a ~9v charge. The 5-6v charge seems fairly normal, just warm.
