Anyone buy the Sony Z3v off contract to keep their verizon unlimited data plan?

Hey guys just had a thought. For those of us who still want to keep our unlimited data plans, can't we just "upgrade" through the Verizon website and when the phone arrives, before turning it on, switch out the micro sim cards? Is that a thing?

That's what I did, just I upgraded dumb line to smartphone and switched Sims before powering on. New phone got unlimited data, dumbphone stayed dumb and bill stayed the same like nothing ever happened.

I just purchased my Z3v from ebay. Been using it for about two weeks. Absolutely no issues at all. Phone looks brand new. I have done this several times with no issues and still have unlimited. Best part I don't have to deal with Verizon. Any way love it so far great build, good hardware, like the customization features.

So far my only complaints are that foxfi doesn't work and no data while phone call. Not a deal breaker though.
