Anyone come from iOS

After using IOS 14 beta on my 11 I can honestly say that Android is light years ahead of Apple. The OS is so much better less finger movement and gestures to move around. Also much faster devices. This new note is so smooth and fast it's not funny. I have decided to stay with Android and sell my 11.
I also picked up the watch 3 which is a big improvement over the series 5 from apple loving the combination of devices.

I had both but ultimately returned my Note 20 Ultra and sold my Galaxy Watch 3. I wasn't impressed with the battery life on the Note 20 Ultra when compared to my 11 Pro Max and I hated the size of the Galaxy Watch 3. I had the 45mm and it was way too big for my tiny wrists. The Apple Watch Series 5 + the iPhone 11 Pro Max is the best phone/watch combo I've ever had. I don't regret my choice and I hope you enjoy your choice!

What notch ? ...don’t be the green bubble bro lmao

I'm from Asia. Dont understand iPhone users from the other side of the world. Why still the fetish of being handcuffed to imessage? Move on to the future :). Most other countries with high proportion of iphone users already dumped imessage and moved on.

I don't understand this from iphone folks. iMessage, just use Google messages and turn on rcs for resolution. It's just texting. Apple Pay, Samsung Pay actually works anywhere that has a magnetic strip; something Apple doesn't do. Apps? This one I didn't really get. Apple is the best at making people think they are the best while they limit what you can do on your device. No thanks. I'll stop there. Lol. Not a fan of Apple.

Samsung Pay is kind of not necessary anymore since Apple Pay/Google Pay are accepted at all major retailers. And Google apps on iPhone had dark mode way before their Android counterparts had it. Apps generally look much better on iOS than Android. Twitter and Facebook, for example, have the menu buttons at the bottom of the app for easy reach, whereas their Android counterparts have the menu buttons at the top of the app.

Yet it's still behind. None of those are reasons for me to buy Apple. It's a trend.

Hmm, not where I live. Apple Pay is accepted at some, Google Pay at others, but the local grocery chain doesn't accept either. I can however use Samsung Pay pretty much anywhere that has a magnetic strip and find it far more useful and and universal in my area. Gas stations are pretty much the only place I can't use it.

Colorado is obviously behind a lot of the world in that regard, so Samsung Pay is where it's at :)

I've had more phones than most, many of them iPhones. I always prefer Android because I get bored easily and that's less likely to happen with Android. However, iOS ties everything together better than Android (effortlessly) for a great many people. iMessage works across millions of devices without ANY effort from the iPhone user. That's huge for a great many people. Many people have their devices primarily to communicate with so a platform that offers a messaging service like iMessage that just works without any effort (doesn't compress videos, allows large attachments, etc.) is huge for them. Many people, my gf included, aren't technical, don't want to be technical, and couldn't care less about customizing their phones, they have better things to do. That's cool. The iPhone offers all the flexibility they want or need. Bless their hearts.

Got 2, 3, or 4 phones, and a iPad, and an MacBook? iMessage syncs between all of them... effortlessly. Makes communicating simple, and thats a great big deal for a great many people. For many people, there's no reason (that they care about!) not to buy Apple. ...bless. their. hearts.

All of iOS' ease-of-use is just not enough to pull me away from Android and Nova Prime...or whatever combination Android offers. For me, Android is just more fun, on some really cool hardware, that's the only reason I use it.

Have you ever owned an iphone? Just curious.

The problem is Apple does not support RCS outside of iMessage. So when you send a text from android to Apple it reverts to standard sms, which there for compresses the video or picture down and causes graininess. If Apple supported RCS on the standard sms side then yes it wouldn’t matter which device you were on. And to try and get friends and family to download a third party app to send and receive videos/pics is hard.

That's the issue I had too where it's cool RCS is enabled... but you can't even get Android users on board so it's useless if you're one of the few that will install Google Messages. Tried it when Google flipped the switch. We're an IT house... told co-workers to install... only got ONE to install lol. "I'm not leaving Textra!" or some other excuses. LOL

Really do miss iMessage because it just works so much better and sending media especially video is the way it should be. Otherwise, I just live with it or honestly my family uses WhatsApp to get around it. LOL, WhatsApp is better than standard SMS.

Exactly I don't have a problem going to another message app but when only a few people move to it just doesn't flow as smoothly...

Apple does have the best apps. Anyone that uses both knows this. They almost always have the more complete app.

Why would you buy a 45mm watch when you have tiny wrists?

Still won't buy it. My apps work just fine. Actually the device has more features. iPhone is too basic and locked down.

That use to be the case, but not any more. I've used both and I feel like the apps on IOS are less feature rich. I get more from my Apps on Android.

Android has come a long way since the first tmobile device and the past three years they have put the iceing on the cake. I no longer feel that apple devices are the best or least to fail. This note 20 can beat iphone at any task compared to my 11 it's a superb device snappy as hell!

The apps are lots better than apple and can do more as other have stated.

I have to agree with your assessment. iPhone is just put together better. Everything works smoothly and the apps very often look and work better.
That being said, Android has come along way and I have moved over completely. I get frustrated sometimes but overall the experience has been good.

No way. This is a complaint all the time. Peleton for example. Crap on Android. iOS is always updated first and more often. I don't like it but it's the truth.

I’ve mentioned this in another thread but I’ll post it here too. I almost went and got a Note 20 Ultra then I found esim is locked and there’s no dual sim on the us version. I run 2 lines in my iPhone, work and personal. $1300 phone you’d think that’d be a feature.

I'm a big time Android person first love and not planning on ever leaving it .. It's just not just a message app IMO ... Not when you have hundreds of people you interact with regularly... Yeah you could definitely get plenty of great alternatives in Android ... you will not get the same interaction being on the other side ... You can get by easily though ... But plenty of peeps don't want to leave it I can't blame them ...

Another thing being having multiple iOS devices .. fluidity is key for me ... Now would I tell someone imessage is the best thing since slice bread most definitely no ... But it just ties everything together nicely business and personal ...
It's weird in UK even iPhone users tend to use WhatsApp alot.. When WhatsApp get multi device support it will get even better
