Anyone considering rebuying in october?

So it sounds like around the 20th of october that samsung is going to relaunch the Note 7. I am considering returning my now and using a cheap phone until they re-launch. My guess is there will be some good specials in order for them to sell again. I just don't think can build up steam again without an aggressive promotion or renaming the phone. Those who swap out now may be left in the dust...

Yea I travel too much to worry about FAA restrictions. Once that is no longer a concern I may buy one again.

I'm waiting for the FAA to uplift the ban, then i'll reconsider going back to the note 7 as well.

Already sold mine back and I bought a refurbished S7 because I'll be doing some flying.

And it specifically calls out the note right on my flight itinerary.

S7E feels faster and battery lasts longer, but I miss the pen and prefer the edge on the Note 7 so maybe...just maybe.

Agreed. I'm flying tomorrow but got my replacement Note 7 this morning. If I have to shut it down, no biggie.

ATT doesn't seem to know when the new Note 7's can be sold again. They stated the current batch are for replacements first.

Sucks that Verizon and Sprint are already selling new units. Envy!

Yea I've been thinking about this too. I love the phone but using my note 4 every now and then leaves me feeling that it's not a must have device. I'm interested in the gear s3 so maybe they will be running some promotions for it since the s3 launch and note 7 relaunch will be around the same time.

They usually do something around the holidays, so mid November thru end of December. Might not be a price reduction, sometimes a BOGO.

I'd like one today. But I'm thinking I'll wait until all this first recall mess is done with. Maybe next week.

Yesterday tmobile told me on the phone they'd sell me one, but after reading the tmobile recall thread not sure what would be available, if any, or if they'll sell me one. I have 5 tmobile stores by me so I might be good.
Not going to wait to see what, if any, deals come.
