Note 10 (standard) vs. S10 (standard)

you must be able to palm a basketball. that will help with your baby. congrats. I have very large hands and cannot do one-handed mode
Lol actually yeah I can palm a basketball. If you got big hands then yeah you don't need to use one handed mode. But the OP doesn't seem to have that luxury. Lol

Screen isn't good on the note 10. Any version of the s10 is gonna look much better.

Make sure you load up a video and compare both phones imo.

The size difference between the Note 10 and 10+ is 6.1mm in width (less than 1/4 in).

What you get in return are a microSD slot and better camera. Keep the 10+.
The size difference is very noticeable in the hand IMO.

Other than a one handed keyboard (which I use all the time) I have always found one handed modes to be unintuitive and an extra step I cannot be bothered with. It is the heft though rather than just the reaching that makes the plus a burden. IMO of course and YMMV.

How is one handed mode unintuitive? Lol once you enable it then all you do is swipe up from the bottom corners, done.

Yeah I was confused between note 10 plus and note 10. I used note 10 in red color
In store today and it was such a delight to use . I also really liked red color though might go with white color as that’s lil more matured. Won’t go black as my s10 plus was black ceramic. I think I will also go for regular note 10, money ain’t issue it’s about ease of use.
I have the Note 10+ but am honestly regretting it due to the size, in a controlled environment it is perfectly usable but when I am on the go I have found it to be a burden I should have learned my lesson by now I guess!

I am considering returning it and am looking again at the standard Note 10 but find myself thinking that other than the S pen the normal S10 looks the better buy and maybe even still the better overall device? The Note looks to offer a slightly larger screen in pretty much the same footprint which is nice and I also like the look and colour options more (not a huge fan of any of the standard S10 colours that I can get in the UK tbh) with the slightly larger battery and lower res screen and improved exynos it should also have the edge in battery life too. Flip it around though and you have expandable storage, a headphone jack and a 1440p display on the S10.

Most coverage on the interweb has focussed on the plus model and even comparing the standard note 10 with the S10+ so I am curious what others thoughts are on it vs the S10

I picked up the Note 10 in black and it feels terrific, yes it’s compromised with what they removed but overall it is an amazing device in such a small package.

if they hadn't removed so much I might have gotten one too. the smaller size would suite me just a bit better due to being better balanced in my hand. the smaller keyboard is a pain for me but the size is so close to the Note 7 and that was my baby bear device.

The things they removed, I really don't miss. With 256gb onboard, I don't need sdcard. Been using bluetooth headphones for years, never had time of flight, so won't know what I'm missing there, and the screen looks sharp and great to me. The only thing I wish it had was a larger battery, but that's expected with a smaller footprint, and this size is just so much more comfortable to use.

Cameras are exactly the same, except that the Note 10 doesn't have time of flight. So far, nobody has found a reason you NEED time of flight. It's used to create 3d imaging... if you own a 3D printer, you might find it useful!

As for screen resolution, the Note 10+ and the Note 8 (I didn't own a Note 9, but I believe it's the same) shipped with the resolution set to 1080p, and most people wouldn't notice any difference. I asked my son to change his S10+ to 1440 (he also keeps it at 1080) and compared it to the Note 10, and honestly, you'd be very hard pressed to notice ANY difference... certainly, in day to day use, you won't notice it. Note 10's screen is beautiful!

The convenience of a smaller size outweighs, for me, lack of SD card slot, 1440p and no ToF lens.

Larger battery would be nice, but this thing charges very quickly, and I'm in my car four or five times a day, and dropping it into the wireless charging car mount I have requires no additional effort then I would use to drop it into a non-charging car mount!

Of course, eveyone's needs are different. My move from a Note 8 to Note 10 has been worth it to me.

Good response I like the note 10 myself probably sell the s10e.

What wireless dock you have?

Cameras are exactly the same

didn't know the 10 has all four cameras and everything about them is the same. the screen, though, I read was different. different specs. it all comes down to the SD for me. I insist on one and that was the decider, and always will be.
