Anyone considering the G6 over the s8/s8 plus

Again...I'm talking about 14+ hours or so away from electricity or a power bank. I don't think it's many people. If you are are your phone 6+ hours straight, most likely you're not working anyways. If you are you're most likely near an outlet at some point throughout the day.

Again .. Not necessarily. My friends battery can get rocked at work because he listens to YouTube in the background due to them having certain mixes that aren't on GPM or Spotify. Put that with him being in a warehouse with a weaker signal.. It can drain battery pretty quick.

Not everyone is in the same spot as you. Yes for majority we can say they will be fine but there are exceptions to every rule and just because you can't seem to get it doesn't mean it isn't an issue for some :).

I'd consider the S6 instead of an S8 variant, based on price/feature tradeoffs. I still have a Verizon S3 passed down to me by my uncle. It sits in a VR headset for sporatic use since I never could get it to work for mobile data (only works on wifi). I'm currently using a Samsung "galaxy express prime", aka J320 on Marshmallow.

The last Sammy phone I had was a Galaxy S3 and I really loved that phone, right up till the time that I threw it on the ground. Totally by accident of course.

My next phone was a LG G3 followed by the LG V10 and I have really liked them as well. I do think my next phone will be the Galaxy S8+. From what I can tell it should be about the same height at my V10 but a little narrower. Don't get me wrong, the G6 seems pretty sweet, but I just am drawn more to the S8 aesthetically.
