Anyone currently using a phone older than 2 years?

Not true at all. I have a Moto G Play. I am going on three years using it. It has a couple of hiccups but, It works like a charm on Verizon Prepaid. If you handle your phone right, update your apps and system updates - your phone should be alright. Keep what you have saved on your phone under the allotted storage space and you should get a few years of life out of it. My alarm wakes me up on time and Do Not Disturb works pretty good too. Some days it does not turn on at the time I set it too. That's about it. Maybe your removable battery may need to be replaced after tons of usage. It eventually starts to drain and cannot keep a charge.

Which Moto G Play?

The Moto G Play From 2016 for Verizon Prepaid? Last I checked, that phone hasn't had an update since June 2018.

Hi, I have been using iPhone XR for a really long time, maybe over a year? Still love it.

Battery is where the iPhone XR really shines. I don't even need to charge it after playing 2 hours of a video game or watching a movie... It seems that Apple promises an hour more video playback battery life on the XR over the iPhone XS Max, and 2 hours more internet use. Compared to the XS, it's 2 hours more video, 3 hours more internet.

Definitely will keep using it!
The Xr is great.....I use one for work

That is a really good phone! I personally think the iPhone X line was top notch - especially since it was when iPhone got away from the classic home screen button.

I am still using a BlackBerry Z10. It was one of their best phones along with the Z30. I think it was BB's first foray into the completely keyboardless touchscreen arena. I have it setup for my daily walk phone with a step counter mp4 player and of course calling capabilities for medical reasons. It still functions flawlessly after all these years and still goes thru the BB servers for encryption. Battery is removable and I think is about 2100 mah. I also have a 11 year old Nokia for my fishing phone.

I LOVED the BB10 lineup, especially the Q10. The Z10 was a pioneer invention for BlackBerry. I wished I could have held on to my Q10 a bit longer and had even tried the Z10. But my brother used my Q10 as his daily driver for a while and really loved it, when I got the Nexus 5.

And having a removable battery in times like these is pretty awesome! Good for you!

Samsung's XCover 4S from last year (which looks like a rugged Galaxy S4) has a removable 2800mAh battery, which will get you much further than a Z10!

I've never heard of the XCover line - I just Googled it and it looks cool!

The XCover Pro looks decent too, but the FieldPro is far too big and too expensive.

Honestly that 4S would have been awesome with a bigger OLED display

My wife's phone is 3 years old. Samsung Galaxy S8+. Going strong and never had any issues. Very happy with the phone.

sometimes wording in subject lines just don't seem to read right. the way i read it, it was asking if anyone using the phone is older than 2 :-P or maybe I am just tired from mowing, weeding and more.

I almost got one when I had the S8+ but the prices never went down for those keyboards
Low volume limited quantity items tend to retain their value.

Gotta constantly check eBay, I've seen some go for as low as $10-$15 (used)

It definitely looks like a good lineup of phones! The Pro model does look pretty nifty, too. Still can't believe I didn't know these were out there!

Maybe because Samsung doesn't spend a fraction of its marketing budget for these "specialized" devices compared to their usual A, S, and Note lines.

But in the real world where phones are constantly being dropped, anyone would need the design elements/materials of the XCover.

The thing is that most people view these rugged type devices as niche phones for "extreme" outdoor uses, so they l consider them to be in the "professional equipment" category.

You don't see a DSLR or a Video Camcorder with a glass body...

You have a point about that. Those rugged phones certainly serve a purpose.

Amazing! Which phone is it? And that is nothing to be embarrassed about! Some of us *wish* we could hold onto our devices for that long!
