Anyone dislike their S3?

Love it 99% of the time.

Don't like mms or non group sms (coming from iphone).

Viewing the screen outside isn't great.

Way better than my iphone 4. I personally think it's the best phone available for me on the market.

I don't understand why you can't send videos over 12 seconds with Android phones. And the amiled screen is horrible outside, I can't see anything. But I can look past it.

You can if you first go into your video settings and select set for MMS. Pain in the ass. It should just format it for you like the iPhone does when you want to send it.

Hmmm.... I did not know that, thanks for sharing that valuable piece of info.

...you rate the ICS over SwiftKey 3?

I've tried switkey 10 times and always go back to ICS Full. It's all preference though. But to answer your question, it blows it away. :D

How do you get to the video settings? Sorry, first time DROID user.

Open up camera & when you're in video mode hit the settings icon in upper left corner and scroll down to recording mode and change to limit for sms.

Oh ok. I saw that. Definitely a pain in the rear. I'll just email or use YouTube.

So I wrote here on the 27th that I was taking mine back. Well it totally died, it wouldn't charge or turn back on once the change ran out. Decided to give a replacement a try since I still have time. Every problem I had was due to a bad phone! Even the standard texting works better.

Smiles,
Rebecca

Glad to hear that Rebecca :) Here's hoping the new device will be a much better and enjoyable experience for you.

I dislike the super sensitive touch screen it makes it hard for me to type accurately if I am in a hurry and I always inadvertently touch things when holding the phone. The volume key is also super sensitive on my phone.

Other than the occasional hiccup with an app freezing and a soft reboot I had yesterday it's all flying colors with this phone.

How long have you had your GS3? I've had mind going on 3 weeks, and have not encounted those issues. Referring to the soft reboot. Did you iniate the soft reboot, or did the phone reboot by itself?

I have been getting apps freezing much more often lately. And my battery life is total crap lately.

I had that problem briefly. But mind was due to being in an area with poor reception. The screen brightness, notifications can pkay a significant rile in battery drain as well. Look in setting/ battery, and checkout what has the highest % of use and adjust accordingly.

I was an Iphone girl, and have missed certain things. I don't think the S3 is QUITE as perfect with screen sensitivity and also some things just aren't intuitive. I've had to download a lot of apps to do things the stock applications just don't do. In saying that, the reason I switched was because I was sick of Apple locking everything down so tight I couldn't even have my notifications the way I wanted. I love the fact I can have everything on my phone the way I chose! I thought I may pick up the Iphone 5 when it comes out, but now i don't think so, I may be an android convert! I picked up my husbands iphone today and the screen looked tiny!

The camera app annoys me intensely. It seems that you cannot get to the settings menu (eg to change the resolution) without removing an old shortcut and putting on a new one, then when I click back onto the camera, it has reset to default. GRR. I don't need an app to do fancy things, but this seems very user unfriendly. I also hated the samsung keyboard, I quite liked swiftkey but am now in love with swype (now called touch pal strangely!) It's so intuitive and I think much better than ios with punctuation and numbers all on one screen.

I find the phone a bit plasticky and feel more comfortable with it in a case! Maybe this is me being used to the iphone weight.

One thing I don't like about android is I would rather pay 69p or ?1 for a game and have it without ads, but that's never an option due to the piracy. Bit annoying, I had all my iphone games ad free and I'm always accidentally clicking on the ad banners.

From your join date, it does not seem that you have the GS3 long enough to give it a real go.

Watch these videos which may help with your learning curve. You may also be used to having things packaged for you thus a more shallow learning curve. The customization potential differentiates the iOS and the Android OS ecosystems.

Android devices are not for everyone and may not meet your needs. I get really annoyed at those that who don't really give a go. If this is not the case, then I apologize in advance. I hope that the videos help.

I came from an iPhone 4 but had 2 android phones before (hero and original galaxy). I like the S3 much more than the iPhone. I dislike the power button location because I tend to touch the volume when I hit it. I also dislike the placement of the soft keys because I touch the back button often. Other than that, it's awesome. Super fast and smooth. No freezes or bugs on mine.
S voice could use some updating too.

Yes Google has really stepped up their game! ICS and jelly bean is what I had been waiting for. I like iOS and everything, but enough with the restrictions. The Galaxy S III makes the experience even better! Coming from over 3yrs iPhone use, have no complaints.
