Come on guys, lets not start with the petty comments.. Remember nobody is obligated to respond so rather than provoke something just move along and if necessary just report the post instead of responding.

Thanks.

I'm loving it a lot. The only thing that really bugs me lately is all the forceclosing of apps. Contacts, clock, texts, voicemail, internet, engadget, pandora, facebook.

It's been happening a lot lately.

I'm loving my S3 since CM10. Still neck in neck with my One X with CM10.

Really, I think I'm nit picking at this point. It's a really good device. Being the Apple geek I am, I was thinking I'd pick up the iPhone 5 when it came out but I don't know now. Might be passing on it this time around.

That's exactly how I feel about the New iPhone. I have this Galaxy S3 and actually like it. If I was to go with the iPhone at this point I would be unsatisfied, I really like where Android is going. I really look forward to using a Nexus phone though, but I will hang on to the GS3 for a while.

GS3

The longer I have my S3, the more I kick myself for not getting it sooner. I was stuck using a small 3.5 inch screen but once I went to the gorgeous 4.8 there's no comparison.

After all the hype and waiting impatiently, is there anyone who received it and just flat out don't like it? Sound off. Love mine FYI

Ok- week one after owning Blackberries for over 10 years, most recently a Bold 9780. I love the phone overall, but have 2 issues (one solved):

1. I live by LED and therefore have to have Lightflow, but it makes every folder open and close a verbal nightmare (known bug where the phone will speak "folder open/folder closed" no matter what settings you use. I solved this by switching to Nova Launcher. Bug gone- must relate to the native launcher.

2. This one is really hard to get used to, but the battery life is very short, compared to what I am used to. It is 11:30 and my phone is already at 63% with normal use. I find I get 8-10 hours Max out of it and that is with very stingy settings.

On to the positives:
1. OMG there is a lot of SW for this platform that BB just doesn't and won't have

2. OMG the browser works, and Chrome is even better

3. The speed and fluidity are marvelous.

I love mine but I keep going back and forth on whether I prefer my GS3 or my Galaxy Nexus. As of right now I really can't say for certain as to which I like more as there are certain things about each device that I love and hate.

Right now camera and LTE are keeping me on the GS3 but I love how smooth the Nexus is with Jelly Bean

You know it's weird, I'm been having the same problem since Friday. Seems like apps want to forceclose and even the Chrome browser keeps freezing on me and doesn't register taps. It happened a lot on Friday and Saturday but seemed problem free yesterday. Will see how today goes.

Face facts you say? You watch this space in the next years how Samsung becomes another has been, while Apple reigns and Motorola under Google tries to truly innovate.

Well done Sir, you truly are a an impartial observer.

Your predictions are ridiculous. You might as well throw HTC in the mix of companies that will beat Samsung as well. Anyone who has been around Android long enough knows that Motorola is probably the least liked out of the big three manufacturers especially with people who flash roms on a regular basis due to having a encrypted bootloader.

There is a reason why Samsung has been kicking ass for the past 2 years and is not slowing down at all. I mean they sold over 10 million GS3's and more and more people are switching over from apple and are not looking back.

Samsung is one of the largest electronic manufacturers in the world. For you to say they make crappy TV's, pc monitors etc is just ludicrous. They are crappy compared to what?

Your personal opinion is nothing but an opinion. You cannot deny the facts that I just posted.

Possible regarding Motorola. Not so with other Samsumg devices - HP monitors are better, so are Toshiba, Panasonic ans Sharp (or SOny TVs). I used to have a lot of Samsung products - now replaced by Toshiba, Sony, Fujitsu, Panasonic and Sharp devices. All my onitors are HPs.

I do not believe I represent a fringe, but very much a mainstream consumer with a fair bit of spending power...none of which will go to samsung ever again

If those other tv manufacterur you said are better than why is Samsung the leader in cutting edge developement with ultra thin and bendible oled panels ( which will probably be the format of the future )

All of those tv's you listed as better are again purely based on opinion because you are comparing OLED to plasma, to lcd. The video output is going to be different just because of the inherent difference in the technologies they use. I prefer LED due to insane contrast ratios.

I can't really comment on HP monitors since everyone and their mother's that I know runs a samsung monitor.

Bendable oled is only promising for smaller devices. I don't see many people caring whether or not their TV is bendable. And Fujitsu's bendable display looks better so far, though I would be surprised if Samsung wasn't the first to bring a commercial product to market.

Bendable OLED looks promising for those jumble tv's that is all over time square. You can have the screen wrap around the corner of an entire glass office building.

The cost of producing a display in such size will not be technologically or economically feasible for many, many years. The largest flexible OLED display in the world is 7.4 inches. Even then, it will be a niche market.

UPDATE- I have fixed the battery life. I rooted and am now running SetCPU and AutoStarts. Between the two of them, my battery life is MUCH improved. I can go a whole day now. I suspect that the bloatware and other processes that were loading at boot and running in the background were the main culprit, but underclocking when the screen is off is helping also.

I loved mine, but it seemed to not love me back. Unfortunately, I had the displeasure of receiving a defective unit (TW crashes, stutters, slow wifi, GPS never locking onto current location properly, always 2-3 cities out).

Sadly, I traded it in for a HOX that has been working fine since. I do say that I miss all the cool features and the AMOLED screen. So, just gonna save up til Christmas and buy myself one as a gift :D just crossing my fingers it won't be defective...

Ok, that makes no sense. You got a defective unit and you didn't get a replacement but got a different phone?
