Anyone else addicted to getting the next best thing?

So I haven't had an Android for terribly long (got my first one on December 31st, 2010). I first got a Droid Incredible after coming from an iPhone, and the moment I had my Incredible, I was addicted to checking AC for news on new devices and rumors. Since then, I bought a Droid Charge back in May, and I have been constantly looking ahead at what new devices are coming out. I mean both my Incredible and Charge are great phones, but there is just something alluring about new ones. Right now I'm really interested in the Droid Bionic and the Nexus Prime. I've ALWAYS wanted a Nexus phone but unfortunately I haven't been able to since I've been on Verizon. Is this just me? Or are other people out there always ready to buy the next best device?

People are ready to dump the old phone for a new one even if the old one is just a few months old, as long as the new one offers a unique and fresh functionality (or unique looks, like the iPhone ).

I usually don't get the itch for a new phone for about 6 months (I get yearly upgrades from Sprint), but then those last 6 months are torture.

Same here. But with a wife and two kids, waiting for upgrade time (sometimes longer) is a no Brainer.

I really can appreciate the likes of the Bionic, GSII and even the phantom Verizon Nexus Droid Samsung Prime (nothing by HTC...maybe the Incredible 2) but I have the tendency to become very attached to something that I like. When I switched from Metro to Verizon I made sure to give my relatively new Galaxy Indulge to my best friend so I can get a hold of it from time to time.

I love my Charge. It has been able to do everything that I needed it to do and more. I've always been like that and I'm glad. I have my fare share of bad personality traits, but a lack gratitude and loyalty have never been a part of that. Even if I do get another LTE phone in the near future, I still will not throw away my Charge. I'll alternate between the two....unless a Charge 2 comes out with the same body but beefed up soft and hardware. I'll still figure a way to make my Charge useful.

The Amaze4G/ Ruby is the next big one outed the Kingdom and Holiday should be soon. :O)


I'm alsways excited about new tech but only few items make me go nuts and want it. E4GT is 1 of them and the NPrime will be the other till true Specs are released then ill decide from there.

I wouldn't say I'm addicting to getting the next best thing, but I do upgrade my phone every 12 months. This has been the case dating back to my dumphone days lol. I will do everything in my power not to follow the upcoming Nexus if it doesn't come to my carrier.

I start looking normally after 6 months, but the last year I have had 4 different top tier Android Phones.....it is a disease
