Since i got my new Galaxy S 21 everytime i look at google chrome the Verizon app page keeps coming up wanting me to subscribe to their Digital Security services. I don't want to last time i did it slowed my phone down all the time. I tried to look at Reddit and when the app came up then the Verizon page came back up wanting me to sub to the digital security services again. I'm sick of this happening several times a day.

Is it a browser popup, or has the homepage for Chrome been set to that Verizon page?

it looks like a verizon app. probably part of the My Verizon app. I've been with verizon since around 2012 and never had this problem so much. I would get that advertising when first setting up a phone or the myverizon app or whatever i don't remember exactly but never thrown in my face when loading chrome or other apps.

Digital Secure is it's own app, or at least it is on devices before the S21. I've never activated it before and don't experience these pop ups on any of my phones.

The basic tier is free, perhaps if you activate it you'll be able to disable it after within settings.

I still get the popup and it was relentless this today and i finally got it off and then it came back on again.

Yup, I get those also. Makes me wonder why Verizon is so intent on getting me to install it activate it. What are they wanting to see on my phone. I know, conspiracy theory going crazy, but don't fool yourself, we are being watched thru the phones.

This wouldn't affect an unlocked phone would it? I've been thinking of moving to verizon (can one NOT have a voicemail box on verizon?).

the other day I got a popup from Verizon Digital secure or whatever it was called wanting me to connect through a VPN and i was flying my new drone and couldn't see where i was going because of the annoying popup. It made me mad. I finally clicked connect to get it to go away. it had a disconnect button too. i guess it was asking me if i want to connect to my wifi network or use a VPN.

VZ Digital Secure has been sending me an occasional advertising notification, spam, the last few months. I've tried to turn off certain notifications, so far, so good the last week or so. Like others, I find this totally b.s. coming from VZ.
