I love the big screen on this phone.
I like the speed vs. other Android phones I've tried.
I like the HTC sense.

I hate how fast it goes through the battery.
I hate how long it takes to charge.
I'm frustrated it can't lock onto a signal - never had a problem with my previous HTC Sprint phone. I did have the bad battery life and bad signal problem with the HTC Diamond so I ended up returning the phone. The battery life isn't as bad on the EVO 3D as the Sprint Diamond but it ain't no picnic either.

I've got about 2 more weeks to return it. I may have to get the new Sprint motorola phone and then return that to get the Galaxy SII within 30 days after getting the Motorola - I don't think the Galaxy SII will be available in time otherwise.

From a full charge plugged in overnight on AC adapter 100%
1 - 4G Off
2 - Wifi -disabled
3 - BT on
4 - 30 minutes of phone calls made on BT
5 - about 15 minutes of reading emails and fiddling with apps
6 - No gaming
7 - 3 bars
8- two exchange accounts sync
9 - no pictures
10 -GPS disabled
11 - screen set for about 15%/20% brightness - nearly all the way down.
12 - htc sense sync turned off

Not good - Battery died after 12 hours off the charger. Lost signal in an area I've never lost signal in the past 6 years.

Sounds kinda like your in a dead zone for Sprint, if your talking about home get an Airave if not then maybe you should jump to another provider with better service for your area.... as I suspect your 2 syncing accounts drain most of your battery due to the poor signal

Just got mine along with being a new Sprint customer. Loving it more and more each day. I also have spotty Sprint service here so I called them up and they sent me a free AIRAVE which has drastically helped. An update is coming to help with the fluctuating signal.

So when you exchange your phone, you get a new 30 days to try out the new phone???

I would agree but my old smart phone which has an 1100mah battery that is 3 years old gets about the same battery life. I've also never dropped a call in that area in the past 4 years. I can be stationary at my desk and my old phone stays rock solid on 3 or 4 bars depending on the weather and the EVO 3D jumps from 0 to 4 bars without a cloud in the sky. Others are reporting it too - could be a bad batch of EVO's.

Thanks - do you know for sure an update is coming to fix the fluctuating signal? I'm not sure if that is a hardware design flaw or just bad programming. If you have any links on the fix from a reliable source I would appreciate it. That might save the battery life if that is true.

Im good with mine... I dont have battery issues.. Oh and here is sprints return policy..

https://www.sprint.com/en/legal/return-and-exchange-policy.html?ECID=vanity:guarantee

For existing customers upgrading devices; new customers wanting to exchange devices and accessory purchases
So you just traded in your old Sprint device for a brand new one and … it’s not quite what you expected. Too big. Too small. Not quite the right color red.
No sweat. You’ve got options. As long as you’re within the first 30 days of owning your new device or accessory, the Sprint 30-day Satisfaction Guarantee lets you either exchange your device for a different one or return it for a refund.
Exchange it for a different one. Just bring it back to the original point of purchase and we’ll help you find a device or accessory that better meets your needs.
Return it for a refund and re-activate your old one. Want to go back to your old phone and plan? No problem, you can select the best plan to you from our current price plan options. (Your previous service plan may no longer be available to you).
Simply return or exchange your device or accessory (in its original condition) within 30 days with the original receipt. When you return or exchange your device, we’ll refund your activation fee. However; in most situations, a $35 restocking fee will be charged. If your new plan doesn’t meet your needs, you can select from our current price plan options available. (Your previous service plan may no longer be available to you). We will remove any credits or discounts received in exchange for your new contract term and restore you to your previous contract term and service plan (if available).*
*Please note: The terms and conditions of your previous contract will apply including, but not limited to, your contract end date or term. If you terminate your contract before the end of your term, you'll need to pay any applicable Early Termination Fee up to $200.

12 hours is pretty damn good for an android phone, I would've been great with that.

My evo 3D battery life is straight awesome... Not black berry awesome but hella better than my old pre. Better than my wife's evo 4g.

Actually I read it on this forum. Let's cross our fingers and hope its true.

Thanks. I'm coming from the world of WM. My old phone with all those features enabled would get about a full day when the battery was new.

hmm nothing will pry 3D out of my hand
I'm getting outstanding battery life 30 - 35% more then my EVO-4G.
Signal is stronger then my EVO-4G heck everything's better.

Those having issue might want to swap for a new , remember lots of 1st batch always have issues.

Heavy day- I get 10 - 12 hours.

A couple hours of phone calls
Send & receive 25 emails.
45 min web browsing
5-10 text
30-45 min Tunein Radio.
I do manual update on Social apps like facebook & twitter.
Roughly 20 min of Google map / Poynt use.

Settings: GPS enabled ,3G use , display brightness set to auto.

Just you man, I bought extra batteries and a charger for my E3D a week before it came out and the only time I have had to use them is when i went on vacation and didnt have a way to charge my phone, battery is great and its so much faster than the original evo, no regrets.

I would also like to add that 12 hours of battery life is Damn good on a phone as powerful as this, especially with that big beautiful display. Also, I'm not a fan of blur. Love HTC products
