Anyone else decided in advance NOT getting the Note 8?

I am weak. After purchasing S8+ and assorted devices I've sworn to myself I would NOT purchase the Note 8. But if fate brings me to Verizon or Best Buy with cash in my pocket all bets are off.

And the other thing. Have you seen the latest renders? Apparently the top bezel now won't be as slim as the S8. This is really odd.

If that's real, it is odd. But remember those renders showing the S8 model without the black front and all those cut out holes?

Sometimes early renders aren't the final product.

I must confess I am absolutely gobsmacked and bewildered at the atrocious placement of the FPS. I can understand in the case of the S8-embedded scanner not feasible, last minute commercial decision, no real user feedback about the placement.

But after the S8, Samsung could not have possibly missed the near universal hatred of the location of the FPS. And they do it again.

Who the hell authorised this stupidity? After the S8, surely someone should have had some brains and instituted a rear FPS like the other OEMs. As I say, excusable once in the S8. But after MASSIVE user feedback, not excusable for the Note 8. So yeah, a deal breaker for me. Again.

I've been a Note fan since my first one, the Note 3. However, I'm thinking that I'll wait a bit before jumping on it as soon as it is released. Of course, being the weakling that I am, I may just do exactly the opposite! LOL!

I guess I could put my wife on involuntary rations and purchase the Note 8 and still hold onto my S8+.

But I'm periodically fond of her so I think I'll wait for a Samsung sale.

The s8 is on sale again. I wonder after a couple of months there will be deep discounts on the Note too. I pre ordered the S8 Plus so I had to pay full price because I was sick of the small screen of the S7 edge. Now that I have the s8 Plus I'm in no hurry to pay full price for the Note.

Since I got my 8+ for $480 off due to BB/Verizon deal, that's a big directional change buying a $1,000 Note 8. The only way to sway me is if the Note 8 has 128GB storage, stereo speakers and a true wider portrait mode than 8+. Then maybe. Thing is I expect the Note 8 to be same width as the 8+ (spec would show as wider but sharper curves negate) and the higher storage options have yet to be offered in the US for any Samsung phone. We already know the Note 8 is not stereo, based on renders and actual cases.

The stereo speakers are the one and only reason I miss the Moto X Pure. The 808 chipset was a hot running, battery drinking mess, just like it's 810 brother.
