Weird. I was able to reinstall flash after installing the ICS leak for my Bionic (factory reset). I don't think RAZR owners lost Flash access after their ICS update either.

In my VoIP class this past week....our professor goes, you can install SIP on your Android devices....if you have an iphone, we can't help you there....lol!!!

Fact is, the deals to preload a YouTube app and use Google Maps as the default mapping application were up. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Google is already readying a standalone YouTube app for iOS. In fact, I think it came out today. This is much better for iOS users because now the app will actually get updated outside of iOS updates.

Apple has now built their own mapping solution and it just makes sense for them as a business to use the solution they have invested in instead of continuing to license Google Maps. Google already has Google Earth in iOS. Who's to say Google isn't developing a standalone Google's Maps app for iOS 6 and higher?

Turn your fanboy blinders off and maybe you'll see the real picture.

I am truly trying to be subjective on this. Maybe I am misinformed but according to what I read iOS6 has new and improved Facebook integration. Maybe this is not the case and it is just based on what Facebook decided to do with their app but I don't think so. What I am getting at is that I think Apple's motivation is based on trying to eliminate Google rather than by giving their customers a better experience. I have heard many people already comment that they don't like the new mapping system. Why try to fix what isn't broken?

I think that I have gotten used to the way Google integrates with my phone. I like it. It makes sense. If apple had some great thing that could be integrated into my Android phone then I would want that too.

Google just tries harder for inclusion. Apple tries harder for exclusion. This is not headline news. Google shares better. I can share a photo to 10 or more different apps or social media services all within my gallery. Whether it's a sms app or other unique services. IPhones don't do this.

Ah. Forgot about the Facebook integration built-in to the OS, like they did with Twitter on the previous version.

Still, the maps and YouTube situations are really simply about deals expiring. If Apple has their own mapping solution ready, why should it continue to pay someone else? They've invested in building their own. Why let that go to waste?

So... What do we think? I looked at the specs for the new iPhone 5 and I don't think it compares to our beloved SG3 in my book...

iP now has a bigger screen at 4 inches. SG3 has bigger at 4.8 inches.
iP now has a battery that will last 225 hours on standby on a single charge. For the SG3, ours blows it out of the water at 770 hours standby on a single charge!
iP now touts a new A6 processor, looks like our SG3 has an A9.
iP now has dual core we have quad core.
Boring iOS 6 vs. Android.

What else?

The spec are nothing to write home about but they will sell ten million for two reasons.
