Anyone else have this annoying issue?

I've been having the same issue outlined in this thread since day 1.

https://us.community.samsung.com/t5...y-Watch4-has-a-real-annoying-bug/td-p/1972614

Essentially a blue music note appears and bounces at the 6 position.

When I tap it, it says the Kindle is playing on my phone... even when it's not, not even opened on my phone, and maybe hasn't been for days.

Nor can you clear it from the phone, not even by killing recent apps.

My Kindle has notifications blocked also anyway.

Sometimes rebooting the watch works, sometimes after several reboots, sometimes it doesn't work at all.

Sometimes changing watch faces... after several changes works.

I'd read something about "ongoing notifications" but there is no such item in phone settings, WearOS watch settings, nor watch settings.

Then I'd read that "ongoing notifications" is under "Looking for something else?"

Well... it's not. There is no "ongoing notifications" anywhere on the phone or watch.

It's honestly getting so annoying that I'm getting ready to return the Watch 4 and by a different WearOS watch.

Anyone else experiencing this?

If so, have you found a fix?

Thanks.

[Edit] Re-read your post and saw it was on your GW4. My issue was on my GW3. The below may or may not help.

OK, I had this issue and fixed it, but don't remember 100% all the steps I took. I believe it started after the last OS update. Went through everything you did without success. I think I then tapped the icon on the watch and went through some more steps, eventually finding myself on the setup screen. Went through the setup screens and set it up with Spotify, which I don't use or even have an account. Once done, the icon disappeared.

My thinking after that, is the icon keeps appearing because it's looking to be setup. So go through all the steps and link it to some service, even if will not be using it. Hope this helps.

Thank you.

Wish I'd read this before it showed up again earlier today... 2 restarts, and 2 watch face changes later, it was gone, lol.

Next time it pops up I'll poke around as you described, and see what happens.

Looking to be setup with something makes sense, since, as mentioned in the linked thread, some reported that even after unistalling the Kindle app from the phone, (not happening, lol), the little annoying bastige still randomly popped up, but with a different media source.
