Yahoo updated the app to 2.0.4 and they also claim they took our advise and changed the notification icon to something more distinctive. I have downloaded the app twice now and even restarted my phone before downloading a second time and push still doesn't work.

Is there any way to revert back to original app.

The new app does not push email through, very frustrating.

no. unless you want to download from the web. there are old versions of YM App on the web. you may need to google it.

This morning I received all of my 10-15 emails from yesterday thru the notification sounds - only about 24 hrs late

me too. I didn't get the old emails, but got notification for them. but right now it notified as a new message popped. I am glad Yahoo is taking this seriously. it may have been resolved.

OK. the Push has been working since this morning. So far so good.

I am still on Yahoo Mail 1.4.5 version. New Yahoo Mail 2.0.4 push & notification work or not ? Have they fixed Push & notification yet ? Thanks

The Push on 2.0.4 has been working for a few days. I'd wait until the next update though, don't rush in updating, cause you can't go back. I got one email that Push didn't work on yesterday, but others are working.

UPDATE: The 2.0.4 seems to be solid. I think it's OK to upgrade if you choose.

Not syncing for me. Previous version was pretty good. Now I think I'll just use Gmail.

I'm not getting any push notifications on either of my devices running YMail 2.0.4

Samsung Nexus running Jelly Bean
Samsung Tab 7" 2.0 running ICS

Have tried reinstalling the app

I've send several messages to Yahoo. Hopefully they hear my crys

It seems every time Yahoo makes an update to this app they mess it up.

The 2.0.4 was working fine for me for the past couple of weeks, then this afternoon Push stopped working again. So I go on Yahoo Mail on Play and see that there is a new app released today called 2.0.6. I remove 2.0.4 and install the new one and still no Push.

How these guys stay employed?

I use K-9 mail app with no problems at all!

Again, the Push on 2.0.6 has stopped working as of yesterday. I have already notified them.

yes yes yes the new version is absolute rubbish, no problem with it updating, just that when I replied to someone, the email then gets invaded by sender of the original, hopeless, oh, and they've managed to remove the next message button and replaced it with an O. I've found a site which has previous versions, never really liked the split screen which they introduce a few versions back, found version 1.4.0 which does have an issue with advertisements, but the old format is so much nicer, would like a nice toolbar, but press the menu bar on my galaxy note1 and I get enough options to satisfy me. As on a few forums I've read, the CEO should be sacked!
