Anyone else try the Razr while we wait?

Haha! I guess I will be sort of renting the GSM version of the Galaxy Nexus while we wait on the Verizon model. I played with the Razr in the Verizon store also. The screen nice but, it did feel awkward in my hand. The more I watch GN hands-on videos the less I want a Razr or Rezound.

I'm still debating it two things are preventing me. I'm not the kind of person that returns stuff so I'd more then likely keep it. And I feel we are so close to the GN release I should just suck it up.

I'm a bit of a Motorola fanboy as everything I bought from them (with research) has been a great product with outstanding build quality. I'm more of a Nexus/GED fan though.... :-)

I'm still on edge. I wish Verizon would announce the GN to put my mind at ease the longer I wait the more time I could have had a different phone.

That was my logic behind picking up the RAZR 2 weeks ago. :p

I figured playing with the RAZR for a month is worth 35 bux to me. I'm glad I did.

Cool, you'll have to let us know how it is when you get it.

Man I had to weigh in on this. For most of the reasons people say they disliked the razr.
I like the size, the call quality is awesome; where I normally would have gotten spotty calls this phone is true. As far as the battery I have learned to start turning off my data when not needed even before I got this phone. I'm suprised no one has posted this but even after looking at these pics, I still like this phone. I like the light weight feel of the phone.....
I know the screen on the Nexux is stellar but after seeing these pics I may still stick with the Razr.....
Lastly the waterpfoof claim was verified by Cnet they actually ran it under water for a bit, and it stood strong.
Still reserving my right to go GN but right now leaning towards the RAZR

Using the RAZR right now as my rental. It's a good phone. My 2 gripes is how wide it is and sub hd screen. Otherwise it's a very good phone.

I actually like how wide the phone is it makes it easier for me to hold but I have fairly large hands

If I had to scale it from 1-10 I would probably give it a 7.5.....maybe an 8. I love the big screen and it seems to be very responsive and fast and I'm somewhat happy with the battery life. Some of the draw backs for me is the thing is too darn thin....very awkward to hold. The camera I rate at about a 3 because its pretty much useless indoors......outdoors during a bright day it takes nice shots. Another thing about the camera is it seems to take the shot before the flash goes off.......its almost like its not quite in sync or something. The other thing I notice is that it seems to cycle from no signal to 4g alot. I was at lunch today trying to use it and it went from having a very strong 4g signal to none at all and back and forth....weird

Seems to be a recurring thing with moto phones. The bionic has similar data dropping issues and still do not have a fix out.

I too picked the Razr up a couple weeks ago, and definitely agree that the "rental fee" of 35 bucks was worth it rather than sticking it out with my Charge. I really do like the Razr, love the build quality of it. I know once the Nexus finally drops the Razr will be going back. Glad my return by date is January 15. Just praying it doesn't slip out of my hand one day
