Anyone Else try to leave the Note 4 only to come back to it?

I've thought about leaving the Note 4 for the iPhone 6 Plus or the Nexus 6. But honestly, this may very well be the best phone I've owned in years. I think about switching, but I know there's only two devices I'd consider upgrading to: the Galaxy S6 or the Note 5. Samsung improved with the Note 4 and I have a feeling it's only going to get better.

I have... twice. I originally purchased the Note 4 on launch day because I got tired of waiting for my pre-order for the iPhone 6 Plus. When my iPhone finally arrived, I decided to keep it. But after two weeks, I traded it back in for a Note 4 again. But I started to miss iMessage and FaceTime and I went back to the iPhone 6 Plus. Kept the iPhone for over 2 months. Now I have the Note 4 again after I decided to change carriers.

Note in my house!

I've been an iPhone user for the last two generations. Android user before that. Palm user before that.

Recently bought a note 4 off contract after the gear Vr was announced. Shelved my iPhone 6 plus. Used the note 4 for a couple of months. Was pretty nice but the lack of implemented features kept me wanting to go back to the iPhone 6 plus. I finally deactivated my note and deactivated my 6 plus.

Siri is just miles ahead of android. I drive and use Siri a lot. It's great to say, send so and so a text and speak the message. It's also nice to ask it random questions and get accurate results!

Integration of FaceTime, iMessage, etc. Are just miles ahead of competition. It just works.

Messages on my note 4 got extremely laggy that it was almost unusable. I shouldn't have to worry about clearing cache to get it to work properly. I never have to worry about doing this on my iPhone.

Safari is miles ahead of other browsers. It's super fast and saving bookmarks syncs with my iPhone and MacBook pro. It's great.

Apple really does take its time with their products and it shows. I'll keep my note 4 as a wifi device specifically for the gear VR but for my everyday phone, nothing beats an iPhone.

For those who moved from an iPhone 6+ and used Touch ID, do you miss the it on the Note 4? The Note 4 has a fingerprint reader, however, as I understand it the Note 4's reader scans/authenticates differently.

Touch ID is definitely more intuitive on the iPhone. But I get along just fine with the fingerprint scanner on the Note 4.

Note in my house!

Nope...I read enough reviews and seen enough videos to know the note 4 is the right phone for me.

I am in the process of making my Note 4 self aware.

Touch ID does leaps and bounds over the note 4.

I use an app called 1password. On the iPhone 6 when I go to a webpage, I'm able to scan my fingerprint and it will auto fill in my username and password on the webpage. I have 20+ character passwords. So this is a huge thing the iPhone gets right.

On my note 4, I have to go out of the webpage, open 1password, type in my master password, copy the webpage password, go back into the browser and paste it to login. Just shows you how developers integrate their apps with apple over other devices.

I just love my Note 4! I tried the new iPhone and I am sorry the Note 4 is hands down the much better phone, no contest! On the Note, the colors are stunning! The camera and video is outstanding! The battery life is great! Features jet fast charging... and I just can't live without the pen! The technology in the phone puts the iPhone to shame!

I can use the finger print scanner on the iphone 6 plus with one hand, just put your hand on the home button and done. I can't on the note 4 one handed with the motion you have to make. I also never get a misread on the iphone.

There's a big difference between trying an iphone 6 and using it for a while in real life situations. That's like saying you watched a trailer to a movie and saying it sucks. You can't judge a book by a cover friendo.

Everything you mention in your post the iphone also accomplishes. The colors on the iphone are also stunning. The camera and video are outstanding. The battery life is also great (yes the note 4 battery lasts longer) but even thought the iphone battery doesn't last as long as the note 4, that means absolutely zilch. If I need my phone to last me 9 hours without dying then that's all that matters. I can get a full 12 hour day on the iphone 6 plus so my 9 hour needs are 100% met. It doesn't matter if the note 4 can get 36 hours on a single charge, my 9 hour needs are met regardless.

So there really isn't any putting the iphone to shame involved. Like I pointed out in my prior posts. The Note 4 fingerprint reader is poor, I turned that feature off after the first week. I rarely used the S-Pen as I never really saw the functionality of it. I typed much faster on my Note 4 with my fingers than pulling out the S-Pen and trying to type. So I don't really get it. I never found my self in a realistic scenario where I needed to pull out the S-Pen and write overtop a screenshot. Not once.

Again, the fingerprint reader, the finger print integration, and the way overall way the iphone 6 plus works runs circles around the note 4. I don't care how many features the note 4 has, I rarely used them. I never needed to take screenshots by swiping my hand over the screen. They just crammed features into the note 4 for the sake of cramming in features. And most of them worked poorly.

Android devices may be about quantity (features) but Apple is 100% about quality which is why every feature they carefully add into their devices work 101 out of 100 times.

I can say one good thing about the note 4. It powers my gear VR headset and I'm happy about that.

Not all iOS features work flawlessly.

Note in my house!

I went from the note 3 to the iPhone 6+ to the note 4. I just love my sexy white note 4.
Try using Lastpass on the note 4. It fills in all the usernames and passwords. It remembers your credit card information also.

For you the iPhone is better suited but for people that make use of the Note features then the iPhone is left wanting. I love my iPhone 6 but my Note 4 does things that the iPhone just can't. How boring would it be if we were all suited to the same things.

You are right about siri being better than okay google. Not sure if you have ever tried a Moto X but okay google combined with Moto voice is very good but none of them can hold a candle to Windows Phone and Cortland, for something so new it is absolutely fantastic.

Well, that's the thing. Okay Google is nothing more that a voice activated web search. You can't say "okay Google, call mom." Siri is integrated into everything on your phone and the web.

You certainly can do this with Ok Google. And you can do it with S-voice as well.

You gotta be kidding me Google voice is 100 times better than siri. You can practically ok Google and ask anything and it will perform. Don't speak if you never used the feature to the fullest

Dude, where have you been the past 2 years? You can use OK Google to do almost anything. Make calls, get directions, send texts, set alarms, get weather updates, etc.
