Ten hour drive relying on Google Nav, my TB rebooted 9 times.
After talking to a complete moron at Verizon's 800 number, I was sent a replacement phone.
I am now having a really annoying tinny sound coming from my replacement phones. Talking on the phone is painful-it is almost like the earphone speaker is blown out.
Replacement one was the worst one for this, I could barely hold a conversation it was so bad
Replacement two was just poorly built, major light leakage, power button was impossible to hit, ect.
Replacement three is here, it is built fine, and doesn't seem to reboot, but I am still dealing with some distortion. I am tired of setting up my phone so many times!
I am thinking of sending my phone to HTC to get repaired. I have a replacement slider phone I can use in the meanwhile. I am willing to bet that I would get a great repair from HTC in exchange for losing the phone for a week or so.
The cost of the repair is covered by HTC, but I have to ship it to New York.
FYI:
The number to call is 800 229-1235
The address is
HTC
555 Wireless Blvd
Hauppauge, NY 11788
Has anyone done this? Send the phone to the manufacturer instead of Verizon? I am hoping for a black void sticker, and some peace of mind here.
