In the US, the trade-in offer to upgrade from unlocked S22U to S23U is very low this year. But if you sell your S22U on Swappa instead, and get $180 cash back from Rakuten, and use the $150 Samsung credit to buy an accessory that you sell unopened, then you can effectively upgrade to a 512GB S23U for less than $400.

I'm betting S22 values drop with low trade INS. The market could get flooded with them as people could try selling them to get more then $500

This is the first phone I've ordered since the Note 10 Plus. I am currently using the Note 20 Ultra which I bought used. I can say that I am definitely excited about the Ultra. I ordered the green one.

I ended up going to my Verizon store last night and they gave me the loyalty discount trade in for $1000, so better deal than Samsung

But did you have to do the 36 month bill credit?

Im excited be back on the Ultra , but Samsung mess up on preorder credit/ trade ins so they get no praise this year from me regardless phone is good or bad .

Why, because the changes are small? That can be said for every upgrade since the note 7 at least. The note 7 was the last major upgrade software wise and hardware, unfortunately we had to wait for the note 8 to keep it.

I am, although I infrequently used the pen on my note 9, I am looking forward to having one again as I find myself editing videos on my phone (s20+) more and more often, and the pen will be great in Lumafusion.

was seriously thinking about it, but after looking at the trade in values, nope, will wait. Samsung is trying too hard to pad their bottom line after their profits was not as high as expected last year.

I lied, instead of going through Samsung, I decided to go through att, In fact I just got home. They gave me 1k trade in for my note 10+. Just have to keep it three years to take advantage of the deal. Normally I would have had it fedex to me but I made the fedex driver mad the other day so I do not want to take a chance. Will be picking it up at the store. I preordered the s23 ultra, cream color. Hope it will arrive early as the last several models.
