Anyone flash 4.0.4 yet?

Definitely getting better signal and improved battery life. I'm liking 4.04 so far.

That is wrong actually :). You just need to "swipe" or tap your finger in from either side of the screen its got nothing to do with the corners.
Then you'll see all of the quick controls. From your picture, your only seeing a few.

Ohhh Right on! I was wondering how that was supposed to be useful if you couldnt see everything, thanks for that!

LOL...me too.

I just unlocked mine today. First time I've ever unlocked a phone bootloader and it scared the sh#t out of me when I flashed the 4.0.4 update. Seems like it sat on "flashing CDMA radios" forever.... I was like "Please dont brick please dont brick" LOL.

Now that I've done it once the process will be much easier for me next time, and the process of unlocking really isnt too bad, it's actually relatively easy on this phone, but I'd say tech-illiterate people should probably stay away from it.

Yup. Once you flash, and maybe flash a second time, you start to ease the nerves a bit lol

So hate to be ask this if it has been answered but I've been scouring multiple sites and can't seem to get a straight answer. Don't slam me I haven't rooted since my D.Inc which was almost 2 years ago lol.

I unlocked my bootloader last night and have not rooted or installed CWM. Is it possible for me to add the 4.0.4 updated with out doing either or do I need to use the tool kit to flash and install via cwm?

Thank you for the help!

Hi everybody! I'm new here and I'm trying to get 4.0.4 on my galaxy nexus. The problem is, I'm on a mac. I was able to unlock the bootloader but that's a far as I got; information seems to end there for mac users on getting 4.0.4. I'm a novice at all of this and I'm trying to find an easy way to get the update.
1) Do I have to use CWM? If I do, do I have to get rid of it to update once the OTA update is released?
2) What is the process of getting 4.0.4 onto my phone with me using my mac? I have the 4.0.4 software but don't know what to do with it.

Thanks!

So I flashed 4.0.4, does that mean the radios also got flashed (im a noob)? Also, did I lose my root?

Go to your about phone in settings. If the radios have FA##, you have the 4.0.4 radios. I presume you do, but check. If not we can get you to where you're going lol.

Is that under Baseband version? If so, yes, says FA02.

Yes sir, sorry I didn't mention it. For both? If both, you have 4.0.4 radios.

Yes sir, both are the same. Appreciate your help. Also, if you perhaps know how to root 4.0.4 I would love if you can guide me through that as well unless it is exactly the same process as 4.0.2 (i used wugz toolkit). I am just so unfamiliar with all this. Thank you so much.

After I installed 4.0.4, it became unrooted again because I chose to install the "official" OTA version.

I used an app called voodoo root keeper before installing 4.0.4

I made a backup of the root and after installing 4.0.4. I ran it and re-rooted the phone in about 3 seconds.

DON'T forget to re-flash CWM

I should've asked this question before I did all that stuff, as I flashed 4.0.4 just a few hours ago. I think there is a way, just a way I am unfamiliar with for sure.

No problem! I haven't rooted on 4.0.4 yet, however . . .

This is what you need to do because if you don't, like octo, you'll "lose" root. I think there's a thread in here (check the Rom forum here in the Nexus area) which goes into more detail.

I am new to android. How do I get this update? Can someone help me out with this?

Hey! First off youre going to need to unlock your phone. Head over to the Roms subsection and download Wugz toolkit. You will need to unlock and root your phone. Head back here when you do that.

Will unlocking my phone void the warranty?
