Anyone flash 4.0.4 yet?

They just skipped 4.0.3, this update was more made specifically for the GNex. They do that kind of updating frequently actually.
Im sorry i am a noob. Why cant we just flash the update in stock recovery like we used to on the Nexus One when an update was leaked? Is there an easier way to do this lol. I have stock 4.0.2 and some of the changes people are describing seem pretty awesome.

Sadly we're going to have to wait for the official update to roll out. The file needs to be pushed to /cache, and that can only be accomplished rooted. They no longer have the 'apply update.zip' in the stock recovery.

Are u rooted if so go to that link I posted dl the file and flash in clockwork recovery.

I loaded it up late last night; unlocked for the first time which was amazingly easy. Took maybe 15mins to flash, but like the unlocking was pretty easy. Too early to tell about the battery usage yet as I was beating on it pretty hard this am and downloading my Music again to sync it, so it was chewing through it reasonably fast which would be expected (display being the biggest hit). The real test will be at work on Monday as we are in a shielded building where I barely get 3g or even 1x... so curious to see if it dies within a few hours still.
Some people have reported an increase in db for their LTE signal. Mine actually went down a slight bit, but of course the bars have gone up in the display due to their "fix".
Haven't made any calls yet so not sure about audio issues.
Interface is snappy, and rotation seems ok so far as well. I also noticed a "Dock" option in settings I hadn't noticed before, but may have missed it.

Okay. Cool so here is what I did, I used the one click root method from the AC forums. Then put the update on my phone and used clockwork recovery to flash the update. This unrooted the device. So I'm now on stock 4.0.4 unrooted with only an unlocked boot loader and a different recovery. Runs great. For me signal was a huge issue. I had perfect 4G coverage near my home with the HTC thunderbolt and with the nexus I lost 4G all the time. I will test this when I get back home after the Superbowl and report if the signal has in fact improved.
Don't go by the bars. I have full signal bars and my phone shows -101 dBm.
