Anyone Flashed Unlocked Firmware To The Verizon S20 FE?

I realize this thread is older, but the info may be of use to somebody who still uses the SM-G781V, which only recently reached EOL on software support. (The final update for the SM-G781V has a security patch level of October 1, 2025.)

Because this is the Verizon branded model of the Galaxy S20 FE 5G, the bootloader is not supported for OEM unlocking. Being integrated with a Snapdragon SoC, there are no known hacks, mods or workarounds to the perma-locked bootloader. That being established, the SM-G781V cannot be flashed with firmware specific to other carriers or U/U1 unlocked firmware. Without an unlocked bootloader, Odin will simply fail to flash any other firmware package except the current or a newer build of a SM-G781V-specific package. While there seems to be some conflicting reports on this topic -- with some users claiming that they flashed a SM-G781V with U1 unlocked or a carrier-specific firmware -- these conflicts are simple to resolve: Anybody who has the SM-G781V did not flash their device with firmware other than a Verizon-specific packages. Anybody claiming otherwise is lying. It's akin to somebody claiming they flashed an iPhone 17 Pro Max with Android 16. Isn't happening
