anyone get the AOD update?

I noticed a difference due to having the clear cover.

previously with the Samsung Clear View flip cover the AOD was not always on. it would show it for a few seconds and then go off.

If you had a different or no case then it would work as AOD should.

since the update the AOD now displays all the time with the Clear View flip cover closed

Hiw about fixing AOD so it is always on all the time... even in total darkness. Makes sense right? I mean, its called always on display. Should be lit up when im in bed and want to see what time it is or anything else.

My AOD stays lit even in total darkness, whether or not it's charging.

There is a setting which may be shutting off your AOD.

SETTINGS > DISPLAY > KEEP SCREEN TURNED OFF

This says it will keep screen off in your pocket and other dark places. This feature will definitely turn off the display and AOD in a dark enough room or anything poor lighting plus something near the proximity sensor.

I have that setting toggled on, but my AOD remains lit even in a totally dark room.

You have something not setup right. Mine stays on ALL the time even in ***** black room. It only goes off if I flip the phone on its face (love this feature), or it's in my pocket.
