It doesn't work on hardware.

If you have the phone with you, the imei is on the back under the battery. It is also in settings - About - Status

You may want to do it ASAP. They're only giving out the $50 credit once they reach $60,000 collectively, and I've heard some unscrupulous people are registering the same IMEI with bogus numbers and getting multiple credits. Hopefully no one here would sink so low.

I am a bit shocked that Samsung would allow the usage of the same imei more than once.

Are you possibly dropping off a set of numbers that are the same? I have 3 zeros bunched together that look like 2 if I'm not focusing.

From what I've read, they had an issue in the past where people were registering TVs, refrigerators, washing machines towards a promotion for their tablets, so I can't say I would see them fixing the IMEI issue.

No, I only have 14. Counted them 5 times...lol

I would say post a screen shot, but then you run the risk of having someone pull your number. Where did you purchase the phone? Do you still have the box? Maybe you can pull the IMEI number from there? Also, make sure you're pulling the correct number. 99000########## is the typical format (oh and don't count those characters because I just guestimated).

Worked for me. This is the one time that I read the terms and conditions, and like that you are able to opt out of the future emails.
