Yeah I'm going to wait out and probably mail out closer to the trade in deadline. As long as the drop off receipt is before the trade in deadline we are good. I also have a decision to make on whether to keep Flip or Fold so will need the extra time anyway.IMO should always hold of ya week to make sure you're good with phone before giving up your old one. You have 15 days to have the tracking number active.
Just got my email too and it confirmed everything that y'all have been saying.
Additional questions: I did a factory reset right away. I did not sign out of my google account or samsung account, and according to their video, I needed to do that before factory reset. was this a poor decision? Do I need to go back into the phone to log out of a program i possibly deleted already?
This discussion comes up on every trade in, if you did factory data reset you are good to go. It'll ask for your local device password/pin which is authorization to remove any Google account etc and you'll also get asked to enter your Samsung account password which is authorization to remove and deregister. And then you are all set. I have never manually removed Google and Samsung account and worked fine every time for every trade in just doing direct factory data reset.Just got my email too and it confirmed everything that y'all have been saying.

No worries... act like you're setting up the old device (factory resetted), and when the step asks/states "sign in original user" sign in then let setup finish. Sign out of said google and Samsung accts... then Factory reset.
OR, try looking at the Google account first (which you had on the factory reset device) on your new phone under devices and see if you can delete/sign out that old phone from there. Then try starting the setup process with the old phone and see when asking for google acct if it needs YOUR account for signing in; if not: your golden!
Good Luck

But as suggested it's a good idea to manually remove the Google and Samsung account before factory data reset. It doesn't hurt anything. I might do that this time and going forward, but if you did the factory data reset it'll also take care so don't worry.
PS: if you do factory data reset from recovery menu in bootloader or some other workflow, it'll not remove the accounts etc but those are all edge cases. But factory data reset from settings-factory data reset direct on the phone then you are good to go.

You can tell by looking at the page that you put in the box(will list the devices you're trading in) if they're all on the same page then they are to be shipped together. Maybe take a photo of the devices with the paper just to be on the safe side. Finally getting around to sending in my trade-in's. Actually first time I looked at it. So the trade-in labels are the same for both phones? Same tracking numbers?
Can't part with my S21 Ultra or Note 20 Ultra. I have phone separation anxiety lolAnyone feeling bad to give up on their S21 Ultra? It's a great phone even with the Fold and Flip, when I go back to S21 Ultra it does still feel great. I think all being different form factors giving me different experiences when I use them. I might just keep the S21 Ultra instead of sending it as trade in now, and use it as trade in for S22 Ultra.
