Anyone Getting the "Itch"

Definitely had the itch. Tried the OnePlus 6T and loved it. Started to have battery issues and ram management problems so sent it back. I caught myself reaching for the S pen a lot when using it lol. I'm just so use to the note series now. I'll probably wait for the note 10 and stick with my 8 for a bit.

Had the itch, got an iPhone XS, didn't return it during the return date, now I'm stuck with it. Went back to my Note 8, should've got a Note 9...

Resisting the urge today. My carrier has the Note 9 for $0 down, but then then I end up paying $25/month for 2 years.

No thanks. Note 8 is doing great and really don't need anything new.

Waiting to see what the S10 or Note 10 will do for me (or the foldable phone).

Not even feeling the itch! Note 8 bought 14 months ago is performing flawlessly, doing EVERYTHING I want in the smoothest manner possible. If VZ wants me to have the Note 9, they can swap me out for what I owe, with corresponding credits on the 8 and carry me over to the 9. Otherwise, I will wait for the 10, to be purchased for cash when next year's big sales happen.

I picked up a Note 9 because I had an empty line with an avaliable upgrade. After 24 hours with the Note 9, I honestly do not see any difference between the Note 8 and the Note 9 other than the fingerprint sensor is a little easier to use and the battery life is a little better. Have 13 more days to return it and probably will.

Itching to try Pixel 3, but too difficult to think of not having Spen. Been with note series since note 2. Anyone who use Spen extensively tried Pixel? What's your thoughts?

I just broke my note 8 and didn't see any reason to do anything besides use the insurance to replace it.

I need to be wowed for my next phone. At this rate, maybe note 10 will be skipped too

I did with the Original Pixel. I did just fine without the spen even though I did miss it. There are some applications that I have grown accustomed to using the spen but there are some workarounds I guess. The big feature I missed was Samsung Pay. Nothing else compares. I have also become very reliant on Bixby for quick commands. So I would miss that if I had to change now. But, if I needed to go to something else like the Pixel 3 I could without many issues.

Didn't see any black Friday deals here in Europe that I found worth going for so Note8 is staying at least until Xmas

Exactly like you, I use Spen, Samsung pay and Bixby commands. Will try Pixel and hope it will keep me entertained as much as my note does 😉

When I get the ''itch" I apply some of this:

If it hasn't got a pen, I'm not interested.
The Note 9 isn't enough of an improvement to replace my 8.

Nope. A few phones that I was interested in hearing about once they got released and got my attention this year... Note 9, Pixel 3 XL, OnePlus6T, and the one that really sounds like a winner to me this year the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. But for this year, none of them enough to want me to move away from the Note 8 or really spend any significant amount of money to make the move.

The 8 just runs so good after all the little bugs I had the first few months and just running great the whole year after that. I just traveled through Switzerland this month handled everything like a champ from 80 degree F in Florida to -15 degree Celsius in the Mountains.

I think I could honestly be happy with this phone for another 12 months and give me a chance to think about the S11 or Note 11 further down ;) I'm not the yearly phone buyer type. Especially at these prices.

What about now?

Didn't really get an itch to purchase a new phone even though that's what happened in the end. But I did want to try a new network. Went from Verizon to Google Fi.

Didn't want to leave the note line. Just wanted to try Google Fi. Figured this would be a good time. If I didn't like Google Fi then I could go back to Verizon when the Note 10 was released. So far it has been decent and the Moto X4 has been more than decent.
